8.16 Friday Faves

Hello friends! Happy Friday! What are you doing this weekend? It’s a pretty normal weekend here with basketball, dancing, time with friends and time to plan and catch up on the week ahead. It’s also our anniversary 🙂 I’m looking forward to a family dinner with my favorite people. I can’t believe I actually got married to the Starbucks man and I feel blessed every day for this beautiful life we have together.

I would love to hear what happens this weekend.

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! Here I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your favorites too, so shout out something you love in the comments section below.

8.16 Friday Faves

Fashion + Beauty + Random:

New Amazon Watch Band! I got this to wear with me in “real people” aka non-workout clothes, and the quality is surprisingly good.

I love this gentle exfoliator. It is not too abrasive for sensitive skin and is also fragrance free.

Skein! Our girls friend had one of these and she loves it so I got some for the girls. The hype is real! It removes tangles painlessly and while Morrocan oil always helps, this is a game changer with all the swims they’ve done.

Read, watch, listen:

The girls and I used to read American Girl Books before bed and friends, they have stood the test of time. They are just as beautiful and interesting as I remember and the kids have loved them! It was fun to share what introduced me to historical fiction when I was P’s age.

My friend Ana and I went to see It ends with Us the other night – a week of movies with a friend felt like a huge treat – and it was VERY good. The book was fine for me – I understand the hype, but I don’t think she’s the most captivating writer, please don’t throw anything at me – but the movie was great. The casting was A+++ and very well done.

Fitness, health, life and good nutrition:

I’m looking forward to finding quick, delicious, healthy dinner recipes to change up our usual rotation. I’m back at school and activities are mixed with the kids and sometimes we get home at dinner time (or the night before). We have our usual favorites, but if you have any family meals that you love that I can either make ahead of time, whip up in 15-20 minutes, or go in the Instant Pot, I would so appreciate some meals!

I’m back on the Nutrisense train for me and it was really helpful to see the data after a summer of eating out in restaurants in Spain and Hawaii. I am focusing on blood sugar and hormones this fall and this is one of my favorite tools. You can see my full review here and use it GINA50 here for $50 off.

Selling functional tests! So much for it starter kit and the Big 5 sold until Sunday. They only do it twice a year. If you’re interested in doing some digging to find the true root causes of how you feel, I highly recommend these tests. They helped me when I thought things were hopeless and are the tests I read every day for clients and friends. If you decide to buy the Big 5 or starter kit, Email me gina@fitnessista.com subject TEST and your order number and I’ll be happy to send you a free call to let you know the results.

Heads up- we’re doing another community detox in September, so I’ll have all the details next week!

Have a great weekend and see you soon. Have a great weekend, friends!

xoxo

Gina
