It wasn’t as bad as I thought, TBH, but I also do NOT think keto is a lifestyle. Our bodies prefer to burn carbs for a reason and since I’m no longer in weight loss mode, I’m going to give my body what it wants. If you want to reset though, it might be worth trying for a little while!! If you’re looking for the best healthy fat snacks, look no further. Watch this video for more…
Another big plus for me was remembering how amazing healthy fat can make you feel. Not only does it make your food richer and more filling (win!), but it also helps you feel fuller and helps ward off cravings. So I wanted to share my favorite, easy keto snacks.
Feeling a little stressed between meals doesn’t have to get in the way of your #goals progress. That’s why I love these easy keto snacks. Whether you’re sticking to keto or just want a filling low-carb bite, check them out!
Keto chips
Sometimes, you just want something with a little crunch. These cheese chips will scratch the cracker itch, plus they’re nibbles. All you need is:
- Sliced cheese (cheddar is great, but you can mix things up with provolone or Edam)
- Paprika
Preheat your oven to 400° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread your cheese slices on the baking sheet and sprinkle with paprika. Bake them until they become crispy. This usually takes about eight minutes, but could be longer if the slices are thick. Wait for your chips to cool, then carve!
Keto Caprese Skewers
You can put them together in just a few minutes and they are so beautiful that you could easily bring them to your next range. To assemble your skewers, you will need:
- Cherry tomatoes or cherry tomatoes
- Small mozzarella balls
- Royal
On your skewer, alternate tomato, mozzarella and basil. If you’re making a mini snack, you can just make one of each, or you can fill a whole wooden skewer for an on-the-go, keto-friendly snack!
Boiled eggs
I know, this is simple, but seriously guys, it’s a hard-boiled egg such an awesome source of protein. It’s seriously one of my favorite easy keto snacks. And you can mix it up, seasoning it with different herbs and spices to make sure you don’t get sick of them if you make a big batch.
To make perfectly poached eggs, arrange the eggs in the bottom of a saucepan and cover with an inch of cool water. Bring the pot to a boil, then turn off the heat and let them sit for fifteen minutes. You are done!
Keto Almond Joy Fat Bombs
Craving something sweet? These three-ingredient fat bombs are equal parts simple and decadent. I mean, hello, lots of chocolate! Collect:
- Organic dark chocolate chips (make sure they don’t have tons of sugar)
- Coconut butter
- almonds
Line a muffin tin with paper. Melt two cups of chocolate chips (stove pan is great, but you can also microwave them). Divide the melted chocolate between each muffin tin cup and use a butter knife to push the chocolate up the sides of the cups. Refrigerate until set, then add a dollop of coconut butter to each cup. Melt a little more chocolate and top each cup. Top each cup with an almond, refrigerate until firm, then carve! This is definitely one of the tastiest easy keto snacks.
If you’re not into coconut butter milk, you can also use peanut butter or almond! And points to make them into a heart shape for Valentine’s Day next month!
Keto Cucumber Sandwich
Is the bread missing? You don’t have to miss the sandwiches entirely. Make some simple keto snack sandwiches by cutting a cucumber into two-inch segments. Cut each section in half and scoop out the seeds. Layer your favorite sandwich meats and cheeses on one half, top with the other half, and you can nibble guilt-free.
