If you’re on this page, chances are you already know why Lash Lift + Tint is amazing: your own, darker, curled, maintenance-free lashes for 6-8 weeks.
But here are all the other things you need to know:
What happens during an Lash Lift and Tint?
- Eyes and eyelashes are thoroughly cleaned. Lashes must be extremely clean so that the active ingredients applied have the best chance of working.
- A lower lash gel is placed on the lower lashes to hold them in place and prevent them from inadvertently being pulled into the upper lash position through the opening.
- Soft silicone pads are placed on the upper lids to hold them in place while the perm solution is applied to the upper lashes.
- The eyelashes are well and carefully combed straight. Combing the lashes straight is a critical point in the process, so that once the perm solution is applied, all lashes will point in the same, desired direction.
- A conditioning solution is applied to the lashes as they are lifted up over the silicone pads. This takes 3½-6½ minutes, depending on how resistant your lashes are to the curlers. (Your provider may tell you this during step 4.) The solution is removed with cotton gauze.
- A lash tint is applied if you choose. The color depends on the natural color of your eyelashes and the color you want.
- The eyelash tint is removed and the lashes are thoroughly cleansed with a nourishing oil.
- The eyelashes are combed and the silicone pads are removed.
- You can look in a mirror and appreciate the beautiful results of your eyelashes.
Lash Lift After Care
- To get the longest lasting results from your Lash Lift and Tint, follow these guidelines:
- No water can touch the lashes for 24 hours after your lash lift.
- Your lashes should not be directly exposed to steam for 48 hours.
- You can use your regular mascara, but remove any eye makeup with one oil based cleaner.
- After the initial 48 hours, use gentle products to clean your eyes and avoid rubbing or applying force to the lashes.
- The use of waterproof mascara is discouraged because the removal process can be very harsh.
- You shouldn’t need eyelash curlers and in fact using one can damage your lashes.
How Long Is treatment necessary?
A typical Lash Lift and Tint treatment usually takes about 45-60 minutes.
How Long Do the Results Last?
Usually the results of an Lash Lift and Tint last 6-8 weeks. As it wears off, the lashes gradually fall out evenly and return to their natural appearance.
