My review of the ELF Pout Clout Lip Plumping Pen
I think this is another really great release from ELF Cosmetics. It’s a really easy to use, easy to wear gloss with a hint of color and I really enjoy the shade Toasted.
The formula gives the lips a super refreshing, yet non-irritating minty feel, and this lasts for a while on the lips. It feels lovely and hydrating and comfortable and looks soft and smooth on the lips. For £8, I think it’s a great dupe for some of the more expensive lip pens on the market. If you’ve been eyeing the Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balms but aren’t sure if you can justify spending £35, then try these pens from ELF.
Obviously, the ELF packaging is much more basic and not as shiny as the lovely slim Hourglass pens that twist instead of click, but the effect on the lips isn’t too different. Both have a minty feel to them and give a nice volumizing glossy finish. The hourglass is a bit brighter I think. ELF Toasted would be a good alternative to Hourglass Trace.
If you’re on a budget, I don’t think you can beat Clout Pout from ELF
