As a big fan of the foundation in this range, I was desperate to try the new Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Primer which offers lots of conditioning benefits and added glow. Here’s what you need to know.

Basic Ingredients
Made with two prebiotics – Fermented Kefir+ from Japanese rice harvested in Hokkaido and Niacinamide IVitamin B3).
Fermented kefir+ – helps strengthen the skin barrier
Niacinamide – helps increase smoothness and brightness
SPF25 PA++ – provides an invisible layer of protection
How to use it
This primer is really easy to use and apply. I just apply a small amount all over the face, focusing on the areas where I want more glow, as well as the areas that show pores and fine lines.
I let it sit on the skin for a few moments and then apply foundation on top. You can also wear it alone for a cool no-makeup look.

My review of the Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Primer
As I said at the top, I love the Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Foundation. If you want to check it out, be sure to read: Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Foundation SPF 30 Review & Swatches.
Because I love foundation so much and really enjoy the glow it gives, I didn’t think a primer was necessary at first. I love the finish it gives on its own. That said, I love what this primer does to my skin.
It feels super hydrating yet light and the foundation literally glides onto the skin. I used the Skin Glow foundation over the shade 250 and found that I needed less product than when I’ve used it without the primer. I could skip the concealer and everything stays put really well.
Also, I think this primer looks beautiful worn alone. It would be the perfect perfect for fine skin to show up for makeup free days when you want a little boost of hydration, a lovely pearly glow and also SPF 25. Fantastic.
Also, I think we’re going to see the Pearl Skin trend everywhere and this product will play perfectly into that theme.
I love pairing this primer with its matching foundation, but more than that, I think it would be the perfect product to pair with a more matte foundation if you’re looking for a really long-lasting complexion duo, with added glow.
Also, top tip, this is a great product to have in your bag for a little day-to-night transformation if you want to refresh your makeup without starting from scratch. I simply press a small amount all over the face and then top with concealer etc for a refreshed, just-applied look.
I really like it a lot Sisley Phyto Teint Perfection Foundation*, which I will have a review for soon. A great one to check out if you like a soft matte look and a long finish.
