As summer winds down, I’m enjoying the last few moments with some fun, bright lip colors featuring our new ColorLuxe Lipstick Moisturizer. I tend to wear a lot of black, so pinks, oranges and corals are my go-to colors to add a playful touch to my look. I’m also getting ready for fall by experimenting with deeper, bolder shades. Burgundy, plums and rich reds bring a sense of warmth and elegance to my makeup.
The ColorLuxe tube is soft and elegant in your hands. The lipstick glides on smoothly and the cap feels comfortable and secure. There is a color swatch sticker on the bottom of the tube which makes it easy to grab the right shade from your kit.
I was on a bit of a vermilion kick this summer and Poppy it matched my nail polish and necklace so I took that as a sign to start my ColorLuxe journey here. Poppy is a warm medium dark orangey red shade that melted on my lips and felt super nourishing. I’m impressed with how much pigment it has while still feeling weightless. I am absolutely obsessed with it lip colour. The second photo was taken a few hours later, I had a couple of glasses of water and a snack in between. The color is still strong without any touch up! The formula is very drying, but my lips still feel moisturized.
Next in our range of moisturizing lipsticks is Peony, a cool medium fuchsia shade. The peony has a fun, happy vibe — when you wear it you can’t help but feel happy and full of energy. I will have this lip color ready for an end of summer party.
Caramelized apple is a lovely shade of cool-toned red that evokes thoughts of sweet treats and warm, cozy sweaters. This is the perfect fall lipstick to wear to festivals and pumpkin patches.
Passion fruit, a cool dark fuchsia shade, is the perfect balance of bold and playful, making it the perfect choice for both casual and formal events this fall. This shade will definitely be one of my favorites autumn lipstick colored.
Finally, Bordeaux. This shade surprised me. It’s a deep burgundy that at first seemed too dark to me, but once I applied it gave off a romantic and sophisticated vibe. Perfect for a fall date. I’m in love!
My overall thoughts — ColorLuxe it is a moisturizing lipstick that feels light, creamy and nourishing like a lip balm but has the color and staying power of a lip stain. I found that I would forget I was wearing it and was pleasantly surprised by how nice my lips looked when I glanced in the mirror. My favorite part is how easy it was to apply, one swipe gave me all the color I needed. If you want a nourishing, lightweight yet highly pigmented lip color, I definitely recommend giving ColorLuxe a try — and don’t be afraid of bold, bold colors!
