Christmas is just around the corner! Time during this month seems to fly by so fast I can hardly believe it. If you’re still looking for holiday gifts, I’ve got a few more descriptions for you.
Many of these discovery sets offer a coupon for the purchase of a full size perfume (I’ll note which ones have them below). There are still plenty of ways to save on beauty sets this month. Some sales on my radar:

In today’s gift guide! I think the Fragrance Discovery Sets are such a fun gift idea whether you’re looking for something for yourself or a gift. There are quite a few brands that I don’t have personal access to and the sets allow me to try fragrances without having to blind buy. I will admit that some ensembles were complete failures in the sense that I ended up not liking any of the scents or notes, but it was fun to try. I have a few friends who have completely different tastes in perfumes, so I can usually find someone else who will happily take one of these off my hands!
Celine
Celine makes some of my favorite perfumes. Currently sold online only at Celine or in Celine boutiques in the US so they are a bit hard to find. I bought the Coffret Miniatures a year ago when it had 10 fragrances and I really enjoyed trying the fragrances. You can see my review of each in this post here.
They have since updated it Coffret set to include 12 fragrances including Zouzou (new) and Bois Dormant (10ml each). They have also increased the price to $445 for 12 minis versus $385 for 10 minis (the older variant).
A more affordable option is theirs Discovery set me has 11 mini vials each 2ml for $48. This one comes with spritzers.
Guerlain
Guerlain Holiday is amazing this year! They have some nice discovery sets that I have reviewed in depth here. I think these are some of the best high end perfumes I have ever tried. These are the big buzz, but I know some of you are loyal fans of this fragrance line and I think the sets make the most beautiful luxury gifts.
THE Iconic Eau de Parfum Set has three minis ($190, three 10ml minis) from the L’art and La Matiere range in Neroli Outrenoir, Angelique Noire and Musc Outreblanc.
They also have two sets of eight-piece perfumers Virtual Harmony and Floral Harmony ($395 each). This year they embarked on a six-piece breakthrough Excellent Set with Extracts and it is AMAZING ($630).

Creed fragrance
Creed is another beautiful fragrance line and I think their Discovery Sets are amazing. I give Andrew a gift every year and he uses every scent. Creed has many variations, including 3-piece sets ($250 each) or Set of 5 pieces ($345 each). They have variations for men and different ones for women. Right now, at the time of this post, Nordstrom is offering a sale on Creed Sets.
THE Creed Refillable Atomizer is another beautiful gift option. They have different colors to choose from and both Andrew and I have them and love them.
Byredo
Byredo offers the largest selection of finding and travel sets. I love that they have SO many options!
This year they released an amazing 24 piece discovery set called La Grande Decouverte ($250). This set comes with a $225 voucher to use on any Eau de Parfum and gives you 6 months to redeem it. Each vial is 2 ml.
Byredo also offers several smaller 6-pieces Discovery set ($60) and these also come with a $60 coupon to use on a fragrance. This has a shorter redemption window of 4 weeks, but I think it’s still a great way to try it out. This year’s sets include:
The 3 piece Travel set ($174 each) are still widely available at many retailers like Nordstrom, Saks, etc. La Selection Boisee with Super Cedar, Mojave Ghost and Black Saffron but there are many variations available with different combinations.
THE Set of 5 Les Miniatures ($210) is available at Byredo in plum-style mini bottles.
Glossier Trio
This year Glossier added two new fragrances to their line and launched one Glossier You Discovery Kit ($82) for the vacation with travel sizes. At the time of this post there are a few left in the Sephora.com but it is sold out More shiny. The good news is that you can find the Travel Editions (8ml each) separately now Glossier You, You Rev and You Doux for $32 each. Glossier is offering 20% off online through 12/15.
Parfums de Marly
Parfums de Marly is a new brand this year. I bought it Women’s Discovery Set ($50) from their website (comes with a coupon to use on a full size perfume). The line is more widely available at retailers such as Nordstrom, Saks, Neimans, etc. and they bring her to me, but I really liked that the discovery was to try them at my own pace.
I love them too Discovery Collection ($230, Sax) with four 10ml sizes perfect for testing or for your bag. It has Delina, Delina Exclusif, Oriana and Valaya. I’m a big fan of the Delina range for the prettiest rose fragrances, but my heart still belongs to Creed Spring Flower, so I haven’t bought any of the Delina fragrances.
Beauty Victoria Beckham
I was a big fan of Victoria Beckham Beauty for makeup and was very curious when the fragrances came out. I ordered it Original Discovery 3 piece set ($30) when it was released (this comes with a coupon). Of the three I liked Portofino 97 the best which has notes of Bergamot, Amber and Vetiver (all my favorite notes) but I didn’t like it enough to buy any of the full sizes. I’m drawn to unisex but a little more on the masculine side.
They have since added a new scent and updated it Discovery set ($40) to include the new Reverie which has notes of Vanilla, Cedroxyl and Plum. I haven’t tried the perfume but the PR team sent them Collection hand cream set ($144) which has all four scents in one hand cream and I really like Reverie. It has a similar vibe to MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 which I don’t actually wear anymore. I think VBB Reverie is a much better variant. If you like vanillas I think it’s worth checking out.
The hand creams have a very smooth texture with no sticky residue. I think they are very nice. You can buy them individually and they also released one Hand cream tube wrench ($12) to twist the end of the tube.
The Harmonist
I discovered The Harmonist series this year and fell in love with Moon Glory and Yin Transformation. They are truly unique with extremely long lasting power. There is one Discovery set ($85) Moving on. I think it’s a really special series.
