Summery Raspberry Lips And A Lil' Liquid Liner Flick
A fluid line movement

To shake or not to shake: that is the question.

Am I the only one who automatically assumes that using black liquid liner implies a move to the outer corner? I’ve been wearing Rare Beauty black liquid liner lately and for some reason, this little move just feels right!

By the way, I was able to exchange the pen for a new one at Sephora last week, but get this! The nice salesperson who helped me said that her customers have had problems with it not because of the leakage problem but because it dries quickly. Sigh. We’ll see. I have used it a few times and so far so good.

I wore this in one go yesterday and paired it with a berry lip – MAC Beetroot Lip Pencil on top Biossance Lip Balm. I kept thinking about it that cute look and wanted to try it.

Raspberry lips!

Anyway, I’ve been going through a “switch to powder” phase lately, so it’s been ages since I’ve worn powder blush.

Yesterday I pulled out MAC Blushbaby (an oldie but goodie) thinking it would pair nicely with my raspberry lips, and even though I blended a few thin layers onto my cheeks, I felt like I was wearing too much. I ended up squeezing it right before taking these photos.

I think I’ll eventually go back to powder blush because it’s one of my favorite things. It’ll probably be fall (!), though, when the weather turns crisp again and wearing a coat or two of face paint just feels right.

You know what, though? I’m going to focus on the fact that I wore makeup all day, and for two whole days in a row, LOL! My neighbor stopped by yesterday after dinner and commented how she loved my eye makeup. I actually forgot I had a portable liner until that moment. It was a nice compliment and made me excited to wear makeup again.

Speaking of exciting things, I caught a glimpse of the new fall Chantecaille collection yesterday and my heart skipped a beat when I saw the dark brown eyeshadow.

So beautiful, right?

The friendly beauty of your neighborhood,

Karen
