“Sustainability should not be a marketing tool – it should be something that really leads. Together, we can accelerate this impact.” – Carly Snider

In this episode with Carly Snider, you will hear:

  • How Collective was born. Because Pact Collective was founded by the beauty and beauty of Credo – and how a small group of passionate changes turns the relationship of beauty to packing waste.
  • The challenges of beauty packaging. How difficult it is to recycle beauty packages, especially tiny forms, mixed materials and hoses.
  • How do the 3,000+ PACT collection bins work across North America. How the PACT member model works and what the beauty you can – and you can’t – leave.
  • Because consumer training is an essential part of the consonant mission. The importance of training and the way in which a simple QR code can help you make smarter recycling decisions.
  • What about your products after your retirement? By hand in 14 categories of materials to find the best second homes, this is the case with your gaps.
  • The role of re -use and reuse. The future of beauty packaging and why recycling should be the last solution.

Basics include:

  • Collective action is critical to correct the waste problem. No beauty brand can only correct the packaging crisis. PACT brings together brands, retailers, suppliers and recyclables to gather resources, share expertise and drive a significant change through collective effort.
  • The problem of beauty packaging is complex. Most beauty products are very small, very mixed or very flexible for conventional recycling systems. Small items fall through recycling equipment. Mixed materials are almost impossible to separate. And the hoses are often flat and lose. The Pact addresses these problems with specialized sorting and corporate relationships.
  • Education is the key to brands and consumers. The pact supports consumers with clear collection instructions and a clever interactive rejection guide, but also pushes the brands to re -examine packaging design to facilitate cleaning in the first place.
  • The pact is committed to anything that is not going to be healthy. Even the beauty waste that returned through the B2B channels, such as unsecured or returned products, are processed to find a second life for materials. Intelligence is used only when it is absolutely necessary and avoiding landfill where possible.
  • The future is refill and reuse. Recycling is only a temporary solution. The Pact provides a future where the beauty packaging is designed for reuse and repayment, utilizing the existing bin infrastructure to make closed loop systems a reality.
