I did a mini haul and picked up two items from the Westman Atelier Holiday launch. This year Westman Atelier has four limited edition ensembles in a festive hot red.
The four makeup sets include:
Clean Glow Trios
They brought it back Clean Glow Trio in two variations ($75 each) which I think is a great way to try three cream formulas. The minis are 2.5g per stick while the full size options are 5 or 6g each. I got the Clean Glow Trio II for the fun packaging even though I already have all the colors. The sets are SUPER mini in size, but I think they give you enough product to really get a feel for how the product works. They are also great for travel.
I tracked down the holiday set next to my existing stash to see if there were color variations and there are. The colors are very close and the variations are so small that you can’t really see them in the photos. Also, since the Westman Atelier products tend to run on the pure natural pigment side, once blended onto the face, I don’t think you can see a difference in the colors.
For those who are curious, my mini Dou Dou in this year’s holiday set is a bit cooler than my other mini Dou Dou. I have 3 different ones Blush Blush with petals and all seem slightly different in tone. Also, some of the Lit Up sticks in the minis seem a bit lighter/sheer in color compared to my full size options, but once blended the color is so sheer you can’t really tell the difference.
Clean Glow Trio Set I has Nectar Lit Up Highlight Stick, Biscuit Face Trace Contour Stick and Petal Baby Cheeks Blush Stick.
Clean Glow Trio Set II features Brulee Lit Up Highlight Stick, Truffle Face Trace Contour Stick and Dou Dou Baby Cheeks Blush Stick. I’m wearing it Clean Glow II Set below with the Vital Skin Foundation Stick in VI, Patrick Ta Major Dimension III Matte Eyeshadow Palette and Squeaky Clean Lip Balm in Ma Puce.
I really like these although I don’t think they will be for everyone. If you like minimal makeup pigment for a super natural look or love dewy conditioners, these are for you! I know many of you are HUGE fans of the minimalist super cool look.
However, if you have oily skin, these creams probably won’t last long on you unless you powder over the top. Also, if you want bold color and pigment, these will be very sheer.
Les Étoiles Lip, Blush & Highlighter Edition Set
I loved last year’s Petal Edition set and whenever there are new colors I’m instantly like YES PLEASE – SIGN ME UP. This year Westman released the Les Étoiles Lip, Blush & Highlighter Edition Set with all new limited edition colors and a new blush formula. Samples of the set next to other products/formulas with the same names.
The set has a new powder blush called the Baby Cheeks Powder Blush and put it in Petal. This draws very similar to the cream version, but the powder pulls a little more muted and dusty in color. Pigment is beautiful! Just along the lines of the clean Westman Atelier style, but it’s buildable which I like. I hope they release each product in powder form eventually.

The set is new Illuminated marking stick In the shadow Biscuit. I saw it below next to her cookie contour stick. The undertone is the same. Lit Up Stick in Biscuit is a very clean flesh brown with a cool tone and beautiful sheen. It is very sheer and gives the skin a natural glossy glow.

We also have a new glossy shade in the Squeaky Clean Lip Balm type called Nectar. This is almost identical to the Lit Up Stick in Nectar – sheer, bright, soft and peachy. On my lips it’s very sheer but layered over a coordinating pencil and it’s perfection! I love it over Pat McGrath’s Permagel Ultra Lip Pencil in Nude Venus.

The overall atmosphere is natural, fresh, cool and bright. I like everything, even though the items are pulling on the extreme side. I would have loved it if they increased the pigment by maybe 10-15%, but I like what it has created.
I really hope it expands the colors in the powder formula. I think it spreads nicely over the cream. I’m still waiting and wishing she’ll launch lip pencils or lipsticks (or even a chubby stick).
I passed her Mini Brush Set as I have a few of her brushes and while they are very well made, they just aren’t my favorite. If you’re looking to pack large amounts into a brush set, I think Hourglass travel brush set it’s a better buy. The brushes are full size and I use them all the time (bought this last year during the Sephora sale).
You can find these sets now at all Westman Atelier retailers. Available at Sephora, Nordstrom, Violet Grey and more. If you shop it Sephora sale use code TIMETOSAVE to take advantage of the discount now through 6/11.
