On July 12, 2020, a night that shocked the world, fans tuned into Meghan’s Instagram Livestream as she enjoyed influencer Kylie Jenner’s pool party. Then all of a sudden, BAM—just about every news outlet in America started reporting what would become the infamous LA shooting.
On her way home from Jenner’s party, Meghan got into a heated argument with Lanez and her ex-girlfriend, Kelsey. Megan decided to get out of the car, no longer wanting to be involved in the conflict. Tragically, as she walked away with her back turned, Lanez shot her in the leg.

Fast forward to December 17, 2024: Megan filed for a restraining order against Lanez due to the expiration of her previous order of protection. Although Lanez began his 10-year sentence on September 14, Megan’s legal team accused him of continuing to harass her behind bars, causing her “psychological warfare” and “severe emotional distress.”
One of Megan’s most chilling statements reflects her constant fears: “I feel like maybe he’s going to shoot me again and maybe this time I won’t make it.”
