When clients visit a spa for results-driven professional facials, their goal is to leave with a glow that lasts. And that should be your goal for them as well. After all, the better they look and feel, the more likely they are to come back. For clients looking for vibrant skin, the Arctic Berry Peel & Peptide Illuminating System Facial Protocol is a reliable choice. Read on for the full step-by-step facial protocol, as well as information on the retail home care kit your clients will love.
What is the Arctic Berry Peel & Peptide Facial?
Regular gentle exfoliation is essential to maintaining glowing skin and the Arctic Berry Peel & Peptide Facial is designed to do just that. The facial we are about to share with you is designed to rejuvenate the skin and leave it beautifully illuminated. Selected products feature arctic plants and berries, which protect the skin’s appearance from environmental factors. Protecting skin from the elements will help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots and promote a natural glow. This facial protocol features professional grade products with options from Eminence Organics Arctic Berry Peel & Peptide Illuminating System, a comprehensive exfoliating treatment including Arctic Berry Enzyme Exfoliant, Arctic Berry Advanced Peel Activator MA20 and Arctic Berry Peptide Radiance Cream.
First up in the three-step kit is the Arctic Berry Enzyme Exfoliant, which combines manual and enzyme exfoliants to help you take a two-pronged approach to dullness. This exfoliator removes dead skin to create a glowing complexion. This is followed by Arctic Berry Advanced Peel Activator MA20 which further exfoliates to improve and even skin tone. Finally, the Arctic Berry Peptide Radiance Cream contains a blend of botanically derived peptides (from hibiscus seeds), along with yellow plum extract and gardenia. All these ingredients work to keep the skin looking firm. Now that you have an insight into the benefits of this treatment’s signature products, let’s explore this facial protocol designed to keep your clients’ skin glowing and radiant.

Questions to ask your clients before treatment
While it’s exciting to dive head first into products with your customers, it’s important to get a “no” to these questions before proceeding. If you encounter positive responses, a different facial will be the best option — we recommend the 5% Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel.
- Are you currently using retinol?
- Have you had a chemical peel in the last two weeks?
- Have you recently shaved the treatment area in the last two hours?
- Are you under the supervision of a dermatologist/plastic surgeon and using at-home “peeling” treatments?
- Do you have sun/anti-burn?
- Do you have herpes or are you getting herpes?
- Do you have active acne?
Once you’ve confirmed that none of the pre-treatment concerns apply, you’re ready to begin the first critical step: cleaning.

A step-by-step Arctic Berry Peel & Peptide Facial Protocol
1. Clean up
Start by cleansing with Clear Skin Probiotic Cleanser. This cleansing step will give the peel that follows maximum penetration. For all skin types, you can also cleanse with Stone Crop Gel Wash or Lemon Cleanser, which are suitable options for a buffer-free peel application.
2. Tone
Apply Mangosteen Revitalizing Mist or Lime Refresh Tonique and let it work.
3. Exfoliate
A preliminary patch is recommended before applying a general application: Clean the skin behind the ear, apply the product and leave undisturbed for 1-3 minutes. Neutralize with soothing Chamomile Tonique. If no abnormal reaction occurs, apply the product as directed. Contact of the product with the skin should be of limited frequency or duration.
Before exfoliating, you need to pre-treat the skin. Apply the appropriate VitaSkin™ Peel as a degreasing step. Apply in circular motions covering the face and neck, avoiding the eye area. We recommend using wet cotton pads to protect your client’s eyes and applying a rich eye cream or moisturizer around sensitive areas to form a barrier. Always have a bottle of eyewash with you in case you splash acid in your eye. Do not rinse as no neutralization is required. In case of contact with eyes, rinse gently and thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician.
Exfoliating steps for normal skin
Note: For normal skin, don’t steam your face.
Step 1: Using your fingers, apply ½ teaspoon (3 ml) of Arctic Berry Enzyme Exfoliant directly and evenly to the facial area. For the client’s neck and décolleté, add ½ teaspoon (3 ml) and apply directly and evenly. Avoid the eye area and active acne lesions. Advise your Client that they may feel a warm sensation during application.
Step 2: Immediately after the first step, pamper the entire face by layering Arctic Berry Pro Advanced Peel Activator MA20. Using gentle circular motions, start applying the peel to the forehead, then the cheeks, jawline and finally the upper lip and surrounding areas. Make sure you apply enough Arctic Berry Pro Advanced Peel Activator MA20 (about 1 full dropper) so that a light lather forms when the Enzyme Exfoliant and Pro Advanced Peel Activator MA20 are mixed together. With a light movement, gently rub the skin for about 1-3 minutes. Leave the mixture on for up to 7 minutes.
Step 3: Using the same application technique, add another layer of Arctic Berry Pro Advanced Peel Activator MA20 and gently scrub the skin for 1 minute or less.

Exfoliating steps for sensitive skin
For customers with sensitive skin, you can skip Step 3, which is the second layer of Arctic Berry Pro Advanced Peel Activator MA20. The rest of the above steps are the same. Leave the mixture on for up to 7 minutes. As with normal skin, for sensitive skin, don’t steam your face either.
Exfoliation steps for very advanced & non-sensitive skin types
Note: For very advanced and non-sensitive customers, facial steam is optional.
Step 1: Add up to 3 coats of Arctic Berry Pro Advanced Peel Activator MA20. Gently rub the skin for a minute or less after the second and third layer of Peel.
Step 2: Leave the mixture on for up to 7 minutes.
Step 3: Rinse with a warm wet towel.
Step 4: Neutralize with Soothing Chamomile Tonique by spraying it into the palms of your hands and massaging into the skin until absorbed or by saturating two cotton balls and then applying the Tonique by pressing lightly into the skin. Continue until the tingling subsides. Rest the skin for 1 minute.
4. Mask
After exfoliating with the peel, apply the Calm Skin Arnica Masque or Yellow Sweet Clover Anti-Redness Mask.
5. Targeted treatment: Serum, concentrate or oil
For all skin types, use Marine Flower Peptide Concentrate, which gives the appearance of firmer-looking skin. You can also apply Strawberry Rhubarb Deep Hydrating Hyaluronic Serum for all skin types or Firm Skin Acai Booster-Serum for clients who want to achieve a firmer, more rejuvenated look (also suitable for all skin types).
6. Moisturizing
Apply a thin layer of Arctic Berry Peptide Radiance Cream to the face, neck and décolleté. Gently massage the product until absorbed.
7. Finishing eye care
Apply a thin layer of Neroli Age Corrective Eye Serum to the eye area with light blending movements until absorbed. Leave it. For extra hydration, apply Marine Flower Peptide Eye Cream on top and leave on.
8. Solar defense
For all skin types, apply Sun Defense Minerals SPF 30 as directed to finish and protect your client’s skin. After applying a peeling treatment, the skin will be more sensitive to the sun. Applying an SPF product is mandatory after treatment. Advise your Client to use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure after each treatment and for one week afterward.
9. After care
Explain to clients that the best results are seen with a series of professional treatments (1-2 times a month) supported by home care with the Arctic Berry Peel & Peptide Illuminating System retail kit. Clients may not know that a full retail product is available, so you can remind them that they can maintain glowing skin between treatments by using it at home. Please note that the Arctic Berry Peel & Peptide Illuminating System retail kit contains a self-neutralizing polyacetate 10% advanced peel activator that is safe for customer use.
