Chanel Beauty added some new fun colorful items to their collection for Summer 2024. I checked everything out at my local Chanel Beauty Boutique a few weeks ago and had fun looking at everything. I got a few items and love every bit of it.
The overall collection is very different from what we’ve seen from Chanel lately and I love it. They created some really beautiful multi-dimensional colors for the eyes and cheeks. I wish they had launched new color coordination for the lips, but it looks like for this launch they are new for the eyes, cheeks and nails.
Jardin Imaginaire Blush and Highlighter Duos
The stars of this launch are the Blush and Highlighter Duos ($75 each). They are amazing and are SO much nicer on the skin compared to what you see in compacts. They have the same texture as the 2021 duo. There is a soft satin matte side and a silky highlighter.
Gold and Peach it has a soft terracotta peach (which goes on sheer but is buildable) and a fairly soft yellow gold (super smooth in finish). The combination surprised me as I usually don’t like yellow gold highlighters, but this one is really pretty when layered with the peach. Below wearing Gold and Peachwearing too Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation in BD41, Natasha Denona Bronze Eyeshadow Palette, Chanel Rouge Coco Baume in Flirty Coral.
Light and Berry was another surprised. At first glance I thought these would be 100% shades I would never wear. The fuschia blush is very bright with a dense brush, but has medium pigment and blends much better on the face. The opal pink highlighter almost shimmers with lavender and adds the most beautiful glow. I like this on the cheeks or eyes. Below wearing Light and Berry on the cheeks, Stylo Ombre et Contour sky pink, Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Eyeliner in black, Baume Essentiel Scintillement on the lips.
New Baume Essentiel shades
There are two news Baume Essentiel Multipurpose Glow Sticks ($48) in the Summer 2024 collection and a new one released separately. The pictures don’t do these things justice, so if you want to see them in action, I’ve posted one sample videos of all three here.
The summer of 2024 has Moonlight kiss which is a soft champagne gold with a hint of peach and Solar flare a bronzy coppery glow. They deliver true to Chanel Baume Essentiel standards: bright, soft, gorgeous shine. I really can’t get them off my cheeks in the Florida heat and humidity, but I know a lot of you are HUGE fans of the dewy glow. I really like them in cooler climates or on the lips.
Chanel added a new shade Scintillation which is very similar to Mermaid Glow from Spring 2024. I got a lot of feedback from many of you that you heard that Scintillement is really just Mermaid Glow renamed and made permanent. In the store, Sas saw them side by side and I wish I had taken a picture because I saw distinct differences in the store, but it could have been the lighting. I took both at home and really can’t tell the difference when trying them on. They have slight differences in the base but the shine and effect looks the same.
I think both are amazing. I’m amazed that Chanel was able to create something shimmery without any texture or feel. I wish the shimmer was more visible on the skin, but I think it’s beautiful.
Wearing Solar flare on the lips and cheeks below.
Stylo Ombre Et Contour
There are many new fun shades of it Stylo Ombre Et Contour ($38). I own several of these and love the darker ones for lining or the mattes for an all over lid shade. I’ve never ended up using many of the lighter colors since they tend to be on the sheer side. I picked up Sky Pink which is a shimmery pink that flashes mauve and pink. On my bare lids it matches my skin tone so well it doesn’t show, but when layered with any powder shade it transforms into a brighter iridescent glow. 100% love. I wish it was in powder form though as I really like Chanel’s new shade singles.
I loved too Ataya and Ecorce in the store but decided to think about it for a while.
Summer Le Vernis
There are three new ones Le Vernis ($32) shades. All three are absolutely amazing. I got two in Song D’Ete (opal pink shimmer) and Faunus (very creamy coffee). I passed on Reveuse green since I’m not really into green, but SA showed it in store and the shimmer is breathtaking. Wearing the shades I swatched, both with 2 coats.
Overall very different from what we usually see from Chanel, but I love what they created. The Summer 2024 collection is fresh, unique and fun. I’m 100% happy with all my figures, even though I won’t be using the baumes on the cheeks (they’re great on the lips).
