Charlotte Tilbury Holiday Haul

I did a mini Charlotte Tilbury haul last month but finally just got around to playing with the stuff I got. I got the new Pillow Talk Beautyverse Love Palette along with a few other things that I repaid. The team at Charlotte Tilbury gave away one of their Advent Calendars and it’s so cute. I shared an unboxing on wheels, but thought I’d share swatches of the beauty items here.

Advent Calendar & Gift Set

Charlotte Tilbury Treasure Chest of Love

There are two major gift sets this year from Charlotte Tilbury and I think either of them would make the ultimate beauty gift. They gave it to me as a gift Treasure Chest of Love 12 Door Beauty Advent Calendar ($220, Charlotte Tilbury, Kohl’s x Sephora, Beautiful and Revolve) and comes in a stunning heart-shaped box with drawers. The handles are jewel shaped and it really is so beautiful. It has a good mix of skincare and makeup. I swatched the following makeup items which include Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk (mini), Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk (mini), Hyaluronic Happikiss in Pillow Talk (regular size), Eyeliner in Pillow Talk (mini), Beauty Icon Lipstick in Vixen (mini) and the Beauty Light Wand in Pinkgasm (regular size).

There is another gift set called the Pillow Talk Dreams Come True Makeup Set ($390, available at Charlotte Tilbury, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Kohl’s x Sephora). It’s gorgeous, but it looks incredibly pretty with the quilted pink case and pockets filled with 13 full-sized items from the Pillow Talk range.

THE Pillow Talk Beautyverse Love Palette ($69, Nordstrom, Sephora, Bloomingdale’s) is a nine-pan palette with pink, cranberry and fuchsia tones. It’s very draggy on the eyes and I thought there was a chance it wouldn’t work for me, but the shimmers were SO pretty that I decided to give it a try. It has 3 different finishes between the shadows. The mattes are super smooth and have an almost creamy cushion texture. There are some very shimmery toppers and then some shades that have a more subtle shimmer.

I think it’s beautiful. I don’t think the tones will be for everyone, but I think it gives a very pretty holiday glam look. I really hope they make another palette with this formula and texture in a neutral version in the future.

Hollywood Blush and Glow Glide Palette

I bought it Hollywood Blush and Glow Glide Palette ($29, Sephora and Nordstrom) and I love it. The blush pink is very soft and has a medium neutral tone. I really like the highlighter because it’s super soft, not too harsh on the shine and has a really beautiful finish. Although I will say it is almost identical to the Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter in Pillow Talk Glow.

I added some more samples to her Beauty matte blush stick, Glowing beauty bars and Cheek to Chic blush in pink tones for comparison.

Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Foundation Stick

I picked it up Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Foundation Stick ($46, I picked mine from Sephora) based on feedback and recommendations from many of you. I had shared some initial thoughts in a shopping story a while back and thought it would be too cool and glamorous to wear, even as a feature.

Most of you also said you passed but some told me to give it a second chance. Many of you wear it as a glowing base only on some areas of the face under the regular foundation like the Perfect Hollywood filter but the stick isn’t as shimmery and has a slightly more sheer/blue finish. Many of my dry skin readers said that it added the perfect amount of glow and hydration and when blended it didn’t actually look as dewy or shiny as they expected.

I’m glad I gave it a chance. I ended up choosing Shade 7.5. I don’t know that I could wear this spring or summer in Florida, but it’s been extremely dry this winter which means it’s more like normal weather that most of you are experiencing. My skin has been very dry lately and LOVES all kinds of creams and super rich moisturizers.

I’ve been wearing this as a base everywhere. Sometimes I just add concealer where I need more coverage and set with powder. Other times I’ll layer my regular foundation on top (I bought this recently Beautiful Skin Foundation in shade 6). I really love it. It’s unlike any other foundation stick I’ve tried and for me it has the perfect glow without being over the top and doesn’t accentuate fine lines or pores.

Overall I give the Foundation Stick a solid 10/10. I love the Blush Duo, although I think you could cheat the colors with other products. In the end I really liked the Pillow Talk Beautyverse Palette, but if you can’t wear berry or pink undertones on the eyes, then I’d say skip it and go for something different.
