I’m having a coffee chat with some of my best blog friends.
Hello! How’s your morning going? I hope you are having a great time so far. It’s been a while since we’ve had a chat over coffee or juice around here, so let’s grab a favorite beverage and talk a little today. I’d probably ask you to join me at Dedicated, because it’s my favorite local bakery right now. Everything is gluten free and their coffee drinks are amazing!
If we drink coffee now….
I’d love to hear what’s going on with YOU. What are human and/or fur children like? How is life? What’s going on right now?
We’d probably be talking about spring fever and summer plans. I am SO READY for school (and work!) to be over for the kids. I’m ready for night dives, late mornings and enjoying more time together. As for summer travel, we’re headed to Hawaii this summer (can’t wait!!!) and I’ve set up multiple price alerts for Spain. If airline prices drop a bit, we’re IN.
I’d like to know where you’ve been shopping lately. I feel like everything has been a bit blah so far this season, but so far, I’m really loving Abercrombie (surprisingly!), Amazon finds (like this dress and this set ), and Farm Rio. I still do the RTR Unlimited subscription and it’s a nice way to keep things fresh without buying all the stuff lol.
I would tell you about my garden. When I had all the eye problems last spring, I let everything die. I didn’t want to be out in the dirt and wind as my eyes were so irritated, so my garden became survival of the fittest. Somehow, the courgettes grew to the size of my forearm, a giant beetroot survived and our rose bushes made it! Now they are all blooming and smelling amazing. The pilot made a new garden bed, we planted some new things for spring and I’m excited to have a garden again.
I would like to ask you what trainings you have done lately. I still love Sculpt SocietyF45, barre, hiking and hot yoga.
I would probably chat with you about military life. The pilot is retiring this winter and I can’t even believe it. I shared more on this vulnerable Instagram post, but I’m not going to be sad when it’s over. So much of military life is based on stress, worry and waiting. Waiting for the next assignment, waiting for development to end, waiting for things to calm down (<— that never happens lol). I had to learn to be happy in the moment and stop waiting for things, which positively affected my outlook on military life and life in general. When he retires I will be sad because I know it hell be sad and lose it. It’s a huge part of his identity. I’m so proud of him and all he’s accomplished, but I can’t wait for the next chapter.
I’d love to hear what you’re excited about right now and share some future plans with you. I’m hard at work behind the scenes here on the blog, but also on one EquiLife guidance. I’ll share more details over the next couple of weeks, but it was an incredible opportunity.
So tell me friends:
– What is going on in your life? What excites you right now? Do you have a garden? Any summer plans?
ho ho
