Diptyque Papier Collection

It’s been a while since I’ve added new Diptyque releases to my home collection as I’m on a self-imposed candle ban trying to use up all the candles I currently have. The new L’Eau Papier collection it caught my eye and by the time it launched I felt I was sufficiently exhausted to warrant two more binges. I love it L’Eau Papier Eau de Toilette for a fresh clean blend of white musk, steamed rice accord, mimosa and blonde wood. They added a Wax Paper (Paper). and Encre (Ink) Candle in the collection along with some other Papier fragrances. I’m in love 10/10.

L’Eau Papier

Diptyque L'Eau Papier Eau de Toilette and Hair Mist fragrance

THE L’Eau Papier Eau de Toilette ($130 for 50ml to $180 for 100ml) is a unique clean minimalist fragrance. It is light, soft with a hazy feel. It’s hard to imagine what a paper perfume smells like, but when you smell this perfume it makes sense. Diptyque added it in a few other formats. I decided to try one L’Eau Papier Hair Mist ($72 for 30ml) and I love it. It has quite good durability although it is still very soft.

Diptyque Papier Collection - Papier and Encre Candle

There are two limited edition candles in this launch and I love them both. THE Paper candle smells exactly like the perfume. It’s a very soft and subtle scent but it fills the entire room within minutes. I love it. It has a crisp and clean vibe.

Diptyque Papier Collection - Papier Wax

Diptyque also created one Encre wax (ink) in this collection. It is a blend of Indonesian patchouli and black licorice and has a smoky vibe. It’s a softer, creamier version Feu de Bois. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’m not really a licorice fan, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised! I think it’s a great summer to fall transition scent.

I was very happy with the purchases, however they didn’t really fit my usual Diptyque vibe. Most Diptyque fragrances are more dynamic and a bit more complex, while this collection is more minimalistic and understated. I still love everything, but if you’re new to Diptyque and these are the first things you end up trying, just know that it’s different than most other Diptyque stuff.

I’m still thinking Bais it’s their best wax.

Scented matches and accessories

Diptyque Glass Candlesticks

As a fan of Diptyque I also added a few other items to my home collection. I love their glass candle holders and candle holders. They launched a Mini Ribbed Candlestick ($84) for their minis. It’s so cute! When I decided to order it, they were out of stock online, so I called one of the New York stores to have it shipped to my house. It has since re-appeared in stock online a few times. You can set an alert if you want to order it online, though I don’t know if it’s a permanent item.

I also tried two of the Set of Scented Matches ($30 each). These are longer matches in a paper box that were released with the refillable candle collection.

Diptyque scented matches

I asked the New York store what their most popular ones were and they told me Moss and Orange blossoms. They have a scent that makes them fun, but there’s nothing super special about them that warrants the overkill (in my opinion). I think they are beautiful and having more matches is always a plus for me so in the end they were worth it just to have and try them out. I don’t know that I will repurchase these or any of the other fragrances.

Diptyque Papier collection

Total love. Have you tried them yet? If not, what kind of home fragrances do you love this time of year?
