Sharing a complete review of our cruise to Disney Fantasty from Barcelona to Rome, Pisa (Florence), Genoa (Milan), Bandol (Provence) and returning to Barcelona. This is Disney Cruise #6 for us (gold, baby!) And it was my favorite so far. For Disney Cruise tips and tricks, see this post.
Hi friends! What are you doing? I hope you have an amazing morning. We are here in Seville who are having a great time with our friends and enjoying a short time after our trip to Barcelona, Epic Disney Cruise via the Mediterranean and time to Barcelona after the cruise. I hope your summer starts a great start!

For today’s post, I wanted to share a cruise review! You know that Loooove Disney Cruises – I never thought I would be a cruise man in general, but here we are – and that was a route I wanted to do for years. I was a blitz through all my favorite places (so far): Spain, Lagos and France. It was an absolute dream.
Disney Fantasy Spain, Italy and France discovery
We closed this trip with some of the closest friends and friends of the cruise – I think this was Disney Cruise #17 for them. We designed this trip * hoping * the pilot will be done by the airlines – he had to complete the training again when he retired from the army and returned to the commercial – but unfortunately the timetable did not work. Since he would leave anyway, we decided to get stuck with our plans and enjoy a journey of girls. I think girls will always remember this solo cruise trip with our three plus some amazing friends.
Disney Fantasy Verandah Room
We have a terrace room in the past, we haven’t benefited as much as it should. This time, I spent a lot of time on the terrace that drank coffee and reading, or late in the afternoon wine happy time with Kathryn since their room was right next to them.
It was spacious and wonderful, and Disney Bedding is just an A+ around. It is softer and more luxurious than most hotel beds. (They use frette linens, which we ended up buying after our first Disney cruise because we loved them so much.)
(Peep the dome’s fluidizer in the background – I never travel without it and my eyes and skin are so happier)
Emissions and entertainment
Disney provides incredible shows and entertainment from musicians, comedians, deck party with characters and dancers and movies. During our cruise, they had three Broadway -type shows: Aladdin, believe, and Frozen. P and we ended up taking out two of them so we can drive slip water over and over again – the pool is empty during the show and dinner time – but Frozen It was incredible. It was the best elsa I had ever seen. He tightened it at all.
We also need to see the new Lilo and stitch Movie on the date before it is officially released! We all liked it. It was honest and funny, and I almost shouted sometimes.
Food and gluten -free food on Disney cruise
From what I hear, Disney is one of the safest cruises if you have food allergies. They take them extremely seriously, and even if you have sensitivity or intolerance to an allergy, they treat it as an allergy. We did a gluten -free food tour in Barcelona and a girl in our team that Celiac has told me that Disney cruises make her feel as if she can eat anything she wants, which is a rare enjoyment.
GF Chocolate Walnut Torte is my favorite Disney cruise dessert:
In the past, I have just navigated the menus on my own, as they are clearly marked with gluten -free options. Since p is now, I told them that both of we have gluten aesthetics (and it was clear that we were not allergic, mine is for health reasons and P has severe sensitivity), they went beyond and beyond.
They had warm gluten-free rolls on the table every night, and you will pre-order every night for the next day. They can make any of the * menu options * with the gluten -free menu with the warning.
Kathryn and I had Palo one night and Solomon was perfection:
Indian food at Cabanas Buffet is my favorite day:
We also need to have the mickey Waffles without gluten and Churro waffles in the morning. Bless.
Adventures and excursions to the port
I went to a Liiiiiittle excessive with the adventures of the port because they were so beautiful locations. You can’t be in Pisa and not get out of the boat, you know? They were long trips in the first two days (about 10 hours), but the girls were soldiers.
Here we did:
Rome alone
That was everything. Go on a bus for about 2 hours riding in Rome, threw you to enjoy your life for 5 hours, drive the bus back.
With “enjoy your life”, for us it meant to eat an epic Italian lunch and shop for the rest of the time.
Gluten -free pizza in La Soffitta Renovatio was what I could want.
We enjoyed the sights, I stopped for a late afternoon espresso and dessert, and we were very pleased.
Pisa and Florence with a guided walk
We were able to see the Pisa Tower, the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Camposanto. It was a little spray, but still beautiful. It was also the same day as the Giro d’Italia Time test, so we could see the cyclists getting ready to start.
After that, we went to Florence, where we skipped the tour and chose a GF meal at Mama Eat, more shopping, visiting the Basilica of Santa Croce and watching a show on Opera Street in the square.
Crisp bites with Nutella:
We need to return to Florence and explore more from Tuscany.
Genoa Aquarium
For Genoa, we chose a smaller excursion to visit the aquarium, which was one of the most impressive aquariums we visited. Event: They use water from the ocean that is filtered and optimized for a pH balance so that the fish have beautiful clean water every day. We all enjoyed this. Short and sweet.
Bandol alone
For Bandol, we enjoyed a day on the beach on this picturesque and wonderful beach. The girls had crepes, grabbed the snacks from a market and sat on the beach towels, while the girls gathered shells and played in the water.
On the ship, we made the usual shenanigans. The girls played the detective game,
We did a family karaoke every night, some trivia/games, bingo, lying in the pool, and enjoyed the wonderful dining room and entertainment. We also had cooling time in the room and got in some workouts in the gym.
Although the cruise was 7 nights, it went very quickly !! We spent a few nights in Barcelona- I will have a place with some Barcelona adventures soon- and then made our way to Seville.
So, tell me, friends: Are you a cruise man or not so much? We love Disney cruises but have not tried other cruise lines.
I hope you have a stunning day and I’ll see you soon!
