If you’ve ever tried to make your own home cleaning balm, you may have noticed a small disadvantage … the oily movie that can leave behind. Don’t get me wrong, nutrient oils and butter are amazing to melt makeup, sunscreen and daily dirt, but sometimes you just want this luxurious balm transformation into milk that rinses clean without extra cleaning.
The good news is that you can do it completely at home! The secret is a mild emulsifier (I use Olivem 1000a vegan emulsifying wax), which allows the balm to rinse with water, leaving the skin soft, refreshed and never fat.
This recipe is vegan, adaptable and ideal for all skin types, and even sensitive skin if you skip essential oils.
Why will you love this cleaning balm
- Shea butter → deep nutritious, softens the skin without being too heavy.
- Jojoba → mimic from the natural sebum of the skin, balancing and non-graedogenic.
- The sunflower → lightweight, rich in vitamin E and super polite.
- Olivem 1000 → The magical emulsifier that converts the oil into a silky milk cleansing when it encounters water.
- Vitamin E → Antioxidant Protection and Physical Enhancement for Skin Health.
- Candelilla Wax → gives structure so that your balm stays tired.
