Fenty launched some new beauty + skincare products this summer and there are some good wins. I’m taking a look with swatches of everything today.
New exfoliating products
There is a new institution called Soft’Lit Naturally Luminous Foundation ($40). I tried three shades and right now 260 or 265 are my best matches. Display 260 in the skin shown here. It’s a much better formula than the Pro Filt’r Foundation as it blends more easily, doesn’t feel as thick and has a soft, luminous satin finish.
Coverage is moderate to full. The Foundation brush 145 ($36) is a game changer for foundation brushes. It has a similar design to my favorite Laura Mercier foundation brush, but the Fenty one is a bit smaller and denser. Both brushes offer smooth, streak-free coverage with an ultra-soft feel.
I am new to Fenty Skin. The Hydra Vizor Moisturizer SPF 30 ($36-$40) is a really nice moisturizer that preps skin while protecting with SPF 30. Just released Tinted versions which I will probably try to track down in store to try. It is smooth in texture and blends easily. There is no white cast with it and no pills. The active ingredients are Avobenzone 3%, Homosalate 9%, Octisalate 4.5%. I like it but I don’t know that I would call it a must-have.
New blush
I’m really loving what Fenty has been launching for the cheeks lately. The textures are super smooth and I love that the shimmers aren’t too glittery or frosty. There are three new ones Velvet Blushlighter Hot Cheeks ($26). These are shimmery blushes with a super silky smooth texture and beautiful shine.
The colors remind me of it NARS Orgasm formula but better. The shimmer is more subtle in the Fenty blushes and the texture is much smoother/silkier.
- Fresh Peach is a gold shimmer with a pink base, this looks more gold on my skin, more like a highlighter
- Juicy Peach is a soft luminous golden peach with pinkish orange pearl shimmer
- Bak’d Peach is a deeper orange peach, but not too orange
Of the three the fresh peach is the brightest. The other two are brighter on the skin. These Hot Cheeks Velor Blushlighters have a similar silky feel to the Demi’Glow Light-Diffusing Highlighters which I have noticed but haven’t tried yet. I keep trying them on every time I’m in the store and I have to get one.
Solid A+ for each of the new ones Fenty Hot Cheeks Velvet Blushlighters. I hope they consider making this formula permanent.
New lip shades
Fenty has launched a new lip formula called new Gloss Bomb Lip Oils ($26) and as the ultimate Shiny bomb addicted i am excited. They have a similar feel to the Gloss Bomb (almost identical), but the Lip Oils are a little smoother, a little more sheer, and have a vanilla cake scent. They have a cute Coral Gloss Oil Key Case this season to keep your shine on the go.
The shimmer is super fine in $uperfine Suga (white gold) and Fro$ted Bunz (copper gold iridescence) both of which have sheer pigment. Coppa Cookie (Metallic Copper) on the other hand has more opaque pigment and a metallic finish that makes it stand out more of the three.
It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I like the Fro$ted Bunz best. I would wear this color head to toe if I could.

New Liners
The one missing for me is the Glitty Lid Shimmer Liquid Liner ($24). The colors are so stunning I wish they made them in eyeshadow form instead of liners. The bummer for me is the liner that never dries or sets. It stays kind of creamy on me. I tried blending it as an eyeshadow as well, but it doesn’t really blend well with fingers. Admittedly it doesn’t move on the eyes as a liner. I think I’m just not used to liquid liners that have a glossy finish.
All in all some nice launches. The colorful theme screams summer. I love the new lip oils and blushes. I think they are 100% worth adding to your summer beauty routine. Available now at Sephora and Fenty Beauty.
