I feel like I need to get back to the “in the moment” style of blogging because I have a lot of photos to post today. It was a very fun week 🙂
Last weekend, we went to an event here in town called Beefsteak. It was a benefit and auction to support military veterans, and we had the BEST time. We went with a group, ate amazing food, won some prizes and spent hours on the track. I quickly remembered how much I love dancing to 90’s rap, Selena and early 2000’s music with a margarita in hand. It’s been too long.

(My dress was a Dillard find! I ordered three from Rent the Runway and nothing worked. I was annoyed that I found something cute at the last minute)
This week was also Valentine’s Day and Ash Wednesday.
It was wild that such a gloomy day coincided with a candy-filled holiday celebration, but we enjoyed the best of both worlds. The girls woke up with Valentine baskets,
we went to mass together,
and had an epic dinner at Fleming’s.
Always the seafood tower:
plus fries (I want it to curl up and live in), asparagus, salad, gin cocktail, filet mignon and chocolate lava cake. We started celebrating Valentine’s Day with the girls when Liv was a baby. We didn’t find a babysitter, we took her to dinner and had the best time. It’s become a bit of a tradition and I’m looking forward to our fancy family Valentine’s dinner.
