Friday Faves 2.9

Hello friends! Good Friday! How was the week? I hope you had a great time! Ours was pretty low-key. The pilot was flying nights, the girls had all their usual events and activities, and I’m here working on blog content, client calls, and podcast interviews. We have an event this weekend that I’m looking forward to, and I’m still looking for a dress. If you wait until the last minute, it only takes a minute. 😉

(My favorite Sakara goji rose donut)

(Grinning through her teeth after her Valentine’s haircut)

Outside of the event, I’m teaching barre, working on some fitness program, and it’s movie night at the kids’ school.

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! Here I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your favorites too, so shout out something you love in the comments section below.

Friday Faves 2.9

ZOE:

We went to the Annual Fighter Wing awards dinner in Phoenix and it was a blast as usual. It’s fun to see friends we haven’t seen in a while and also celebrate some hardworking and inspiring members of the squadron.

It was hard to believe that this was the last time the Pilot would ever wear a messy dress. This time next year, he will be a PENSIONER!! Tbh, I’m more than ready, but I can tell it’s going to be bittersweet for him. His military career was a huge part of his identity for so long, and I know he will be missed.

I’m definitely looking forward to more stability and a return to the airlines, but I’ll definitely miss seeing him in his messy dress and flight suit. 🙂

(the dress was from RTR. It wasn’t my favorite dress I’d ever rented, but all my top picks were gone. It was fine for the occasion.)

Since we were in Phoenix, the kids asked for a Camelback hike. It’s probably their favorite hike, which doesn’t surprise me at all.

They climb and climb while I fear for everyone’s lives. It’s a great time, I tell you 😉

The first climb is extremely intense – you can hold on to guard rails because it is so steep and high –

but after that, the tension drops a bit. It’s an incredible view and the weather was perfect.

We also tried the Original Chop Shop for the first time, and it was SO, SO good. I got the gf hummus and veggie wrap (added chicken) and will definitely be back.

High Performance Health. This will be my first certification for 2024 and I am so excited to dive into it. HPH is all about longevity and biohacking, so I’m excited to use this information for intermediate and advanced clients to get the most out of their routines and get very strategic about daily habits. I will share more along the way! If you want to be my study buddy, you can check it here and enter code FITNESSISTA for $100 off.

Fashion + Beauty:

New Beautycounter Body Butter. I’m waiting for mine to arrive and can’t wait to try it out. I love a body butter with clean ingredients – especially in these chilly winter months – and this one is in the lovely Monoi scent. Check it out here.

Order this dress for spring. It looks like a nightgown and is less than half the price!

Add to cart. I love living rooms so much right now.

Read, watch, listen:

Be sure to check out the interview on this week’s podcast. We are talking about seed oils.

What are your simple pleasures?

We are enjoying this audiobook right now. Lots of helpful advice and encouragement to get more into investing.

Fitness + good food:

You have to try these homemade peanut butter protein bars.

More reasons to practice self-compassion.

Gf Oatmeal Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Happy Friday, friends! Have a great weekend and see you soon.
