Friday Faves 4.19

Hello friends! Good Friday! How was the week? What are you doing this weekend? It’s going to be crazy but fun over here. We have a military retirement party, a school event, a birthday party, a neighborhood party, and it’s my brother’s birthday. Bring on all the spring fun! I’ve also been working hard this week on an exciting opportunity EquiLife. I am so excited and honored to be included and will share the details when I can 🙂

Let me know what you’re up to and what’s happening this spring. I love catching up with you and hearing about your life!

For now, it’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party. Here I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I also love hearing about your favorites, so please shout out something you like in the comments section below.

Friday Faves 19/4

ZOE:

We had the most amazing date night at Le Rendezvous last weekend. It’s a classic Tucson, and so many people have been raving about it, so we finally gave it a try. It was all a dream.

We shared scallops for an appetizer, enjoyed wine, beef tenderloin for two (with perfect sauteed vegetables and a potato skin I wanted to live on), and Grand Marnier soufflé. YUM. We will definitely be back with the girls, especially since they have escargot. their all-time favorite appetizer.

I realized I never posted before and after pictures of our awesome floor project. We replaced our upstairs carpet with laminate, and they redid our bedroom and office as they were old wood. We just wanted everything to match and we wanted a neutral brown that would be classic.

I am so happy with how it turned out!

We also replaced the railing on our stairs.

This is what it looked like before:

with the safety rail as they rebuilt the railing:

and the post:

A million times better.

We never intended to stay here forever, but we keep making updates to the house (like the pool!) that make us want to stay longer. Also, with the current market, we don’t intend to go anywhere.

The girls and I saw Phil Wickham in concert last night! I was looking forward to it – the girls were neutral about it lol – for quite some time. We all ended up loving it and were singing and dancing the whole time. He’s incredibly talented and I loved the overall messages of the show. It was a great positive festival for all of us.

P also received her First Communion last weekend. We celebrated Mass with family and had an epic brunch at Ventana.

Five pickups.

Fitness, health and good nutrition:

Still cruising along with it CBO protocol. I’m finally heading towards the end and it was nice to put more food in the rotation. Protocols are currently 20% off, incl my favorite detox. You can also stack code FITNESSISTA10 on many of the EquiLife products with this link.

The Healthy Trader Joe’s Shopping List.

Fashion + Beauty:

I got this dress from Dillard’s and obsess over it. (I sized down to an XS after reading reviews that it runs big.)

It is similar to a La Vie Style House tonic at a fraction of the price. I got hot pink but now I want it the black.

On a completely different note, you may have noticed that the Beautycounter website has gone dark as of today.

Here is a copy of the email I sent to my clients this morning:

In 2021, the company was sold to a private equity firm, the Carlyle Group. After a few years of discovering a mismatch in the true vision for the amazing company, founder and CEO Gregg Renfrew (along with other like-minded Investors) is buying it back.

This is great news – for you, me, and Beautycounter (and its mission) as a whole! I have complete confidence in Greg as a leader.

The not-so-great part of all of this is that there will be some downtime during the transition.

As of today, the Beautycounter website will be DOWN and will not be available for shopping again until Wednesday, May 1st.

There are many rumors that the company is shutting down, but Greg has assured us that everything will be back to normal (products, order process, website, product credit – everything!) once the sale ends on May 1st. Everything should look and feel the same at that moment.

I’ve heard there are some good things planned starting in May, including some new products coming out this summer, so stay tuned!

Happy Friday friends! Have a great weekend and thank you so much for visiting the blog today.
