HH: Your hair has become such a signature part of your appearance-which is your secret to keep it healthy and ready for a scene?
Gabby Samone: I am such a huge healthy hair lawyer! In recent years I have neglected my hair a little bit, because natural black hair is a project – but I’m definitely back to it, with the help of natural special hair and special color and all around the hair guru, shy watters, here from Baltimore.
I really liked to do my hair on my own, but it’s so time -consuming and shy it helps me prepare for performances and only everyday life. It takes my hair together! Therapies/ trims/ natural hairstyles, hair protective style and all in between.
HH: When it comes to beauty and self-care, what are the products you should have or the rituals that keep you feel confident?

Gabby Samone: You need a skin care routine and just start dipping deep into it! I look at the ingredients and reviews on some products. But it’s really what ever works for your skin. I love ELF products, I use them very often. It’s in my skin care routine and make up a routine. But for me, the self-care is not just about products, it is also to devote time and even when we are on the road or busy in the studio-to slow down and be with the people I love.
HH: How would you describe how your choices of personal style and beauty in your art affect your art choices?
Gabby Samone: I’m a very cold person – I like sweat pants and wide jeans with a cultivation top. But as I get older and the more I come to my femininity, I also began to love wearing softer looks – whether it is a suit, a dress or even a skirt. I think both style choices feel true to whom I am an artist and reflect my music. I’m a little roughly around the edges but I’m also a soft girly girly in the heart.
HH: Have you grown so much from the days of your American species – how does your sound and vision have evolved since then?
Gabby Samone: I feel more confident about who I am as an artist and man. I was afraid of what people would think of my music and who I was and would try to change to fit some places. But now, I’m in a whole new wave. I no longer want to reduce myself. I am learning how to embrace being the creative Gabby Samone, but also to be Gabrielle Williams, because both are really me.
