More than 25 years ago, Kim Parenteau, the CEO and founder of the Canadian luxury skincare brand WILD GRACE, embarked on a life-changing journey of self-discovery. After dealing with many health issues, Kim began exploring alternative medicine and natural healing pathways to regain control of her life. It was then that she discovered Ayurveda, an ancient Indian holistic system, which would become the foundation for her holistic artisan skincare business.
Driven by her passion for Ayurveda, Kim started her holistic plant-based skincare business in 2019 with no prior formula or business knowledge. That’s when Formula Botanica appeared. After starting her business, Kim decided to turn her hobby of skincare craftsmanship into a thriving business and enrolled in our award-winning Organic Skincare Diploma.
The course gave her the knowledge and skills she needed to be a successful skincare entrepreneur, as well as the confidence to explore her creative ideas.
“Formula Botanica helped me envision my brand as a business rather than a hobby and gave me the tools I needed to succeed” – Kim Parenteau.
After graduating in 2021, Kim was able to transform her existing skincare brand into a thriving business. She quit her job as a graphic designer to focus solely on her passion that changed her life forever.
WILD GRACE’s natural, cruelty-free and vegan products are infused with powerful botanicals, bioactive ingredients and Kim’s passion for Ayurveda. The brand’s mission is to provide the best skin care, with the best possible ingredients, so customers can feel supported, beautiful and nourished, from the inside out. Her line includes skin care for dosha types – the Ayurvedic energies found throughout the human body and mind – including body oils, serums and fragrances. as well as Ayurvedic facial tools.
Beyond the realm of Ayurveda, WILD GRACE also focuses on ritual self-care. The ‘Elixir Serum’, a rich serum with hyaluronic acid, is the brand’s hero product, but the range has other products to explore, such as the ‘Deep Forest’ Milk Cleansing Balm, the ‘Crystal Facial Mist’ or the ‘Moon Dust” 2-in-1 exfoliator.
Today, Kim’s brand continues to grow and thrive. Her advice for future beauty entrepreneurs is to “Take the lesson. It will give you confidence in what you create and share with the world.” For Kim, being an entrepreneur is a deeply creative process that allows her to live her dream. And you could do the same.
