Gucci Beauty has launched a new concealer called the Concentre de Beaute Multi-Use Longwear Concealer ($47 each). I really like the new formula and made one demo on my Instagram in cooperation with Sephora. Many of you have had questions about the formula and color selection, so I wanted to go into more detail and include an updated roundup of their staples.
Multipurpose long wear concealer
New Gucci multipurpose long wear concealer is a medium coverage concealer with a light texture and natural finish. It has enough pigment to cover my freckles and even out the under eye area, but still looks like skin (just better). I really like the wear and how it builds if you watch my video here you’ll see how it blends seamlessly to look like skin. I applied it with the Fenty Concealer Brush which I recently bought and love.
The new concealer is available in a wide range of shades with different tones. According to their shade distribution:
- C is for cool – skin rarely tans, with pink undertones
- N is for neutral – tan on the skin sometimes, with pink and gold undertones
- W is for warm – easily tans the skin, with yellow or golden undertones
For a shade match I found Shade 34N to be my best match under the eyes. It’s neutral, medium, and just the tiniest bit lighter than my skin, but very close. I usually prefer concealers close to my skin tone rather than something 2-3 shades lighter for under the eyes.
I ended up ordering a lot of colors, mostly because I wanted to try them out but also to test them out for what they look like on my skin. I tried all six and my first choice 34N ended up being the best. I also really like 28C or 31W for glow. The 35W can also work as an exact match for hiding spots.
Some of the W shades pull more yellow/olive than others. The 32W pulls very yellow while the 31W and 35W both pull more gold/neutral. Out of the 2 undertone C shades they look solid undertone pink. I only tried one of the N neutrals so I’m not sure how the other neutral shades work, but 34N is very neutral indeed.
Wearing 34N below with them Glow Care Shine Lipstick in Sally Soft Honey.
The concealer is fragrance free and the lasting power is quite impressive. It didn’t crease or cake and I like that it binds pretty well on its own. The texture/pigment is similar to NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer with a slightly more matte finish. If you need something more creamy and opaque, this might be too sheer for you, so I’d recommend it Natasha Denona Hy-Glam, Givenchy the Tarte Shape Tape Radiant.

Luminous Matte Foundation
Gucci has launched several foundation formulas over the past few years and the current formula available now is Bright matte finish ($69). My best match is 305N although it is a little light in color. I can get it to work since it adjusts/oxidizes very little.
The next shade is 310N and there is quite a gap (looks at least 3 shades darker). This foundation has one of the best matte finishes I’ve tried. I usually don’t like matte foundations because they often feel too thick and look flat. However, this has a very nice finish and great lasting power. I would wear this more often if I had an exact shade match. I adjust this with a mixing in one of the Elf Halo Glow Filters (usually shade 5 or 7).
It is floral scented which may deter those who are sensitive to fragrance in foundation. Luckily it didn’t irritate my skin. Before/after below, also wearing it Gucci Satin Lipstick in The painted veil and Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Dreams Eyeshadow Palette.
Matte beauty powder
Matte Beauty Powder by Gucci it sits in one of the nicest compacts I’ve ever seen. There is a pouch for a puff which I like. It’s described as “matte” but there are actually some shimmer particles in it, but once applied to the face the shimmer isn’t really visible on the skin. I wear Shade 4 (seems to be discontinued now) or Shade 5.
It’s a nice powder but it has some downsides. One is that it is heavily flavored. It’s not unpleasant, but I find it on the strong side. The other is that it’s prone to hard pan, but that happens when there’s oil on the powder brush, whether that’s oil from touching your face or leftover moisturizer or even your fingers.
I’ve been able to keep mine clean, but I’m very careful with the brushes I use. I’m a bit OCD about having clean brushes and wash them all the time, so I almost always have a clean powder brush when I use it. Overall nice and performs well, but not my favorite. I’ve totally used a few compacts and just bought a fresh one. I like it, but I think there are better formulas out there.
Brume de Beaute Mist
The Gucci Beauty Face Mist is another great product. It’s a multitasking product that you can use to prep your skin or set your makeup. It is a two-phase formula with black rose oil and hyaluronic acid. The tip releases a super fine mist and feels super refreshing on the skin. I think it cuts a very nice luxurious figure, but it has a floral scent to it. If the fragrance is prohibitive for you, I think so MAC Fix+ the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Perfect Setting Spray they are excellent choices.
Multi-use lighting drops
Last but not least is another look at them Illuminateur de Beaute multi-use drops. This is one of the prettiest liquid highlighters I’ve tried. It’s shimmery with the perfect amount of pigment and shimmer for me. The color is a peachy champagne which I really like for medium/tan skin tones but I think it will work for any skin tone.
