Stunning eyes as easy as 1-2-3…
We’ve all done it — you make the decision to buy a beautiful new eyeshadow palette, open it, marveling at how fresh it looks, and then panic sets in. How do you use it? And with what? What does each shadow do??
Before we get into how to apply eyeshadow, let’s start at the beginning — what is eyeshadow? Simply put, eyeshadow accentuates, accentuates, or accentuates the eye area, creating shadow and depth, depending on the colors used.
Light colors accentuate, bringing the areas forward. It’s a great choice for applying to the inner corner of the eye and brow bone. Like PurePressed Eye Shadow Singles Bone, French Vanilla or Oyster
Medium colors help define the shape of the eye and bridge the gap between dark and light shades when blending. PurePressed Eye Shadow Singles Sienna or Supernova
Dark colors create depth and help outline the eye shape in addition to adding volume. Most often, a dark shade is applied to the lash line, outer corner and/or crease. Like PurePressed Eye Shadow Singles Jewel or Dark Suede
With our NEW PurePressed Eyeshadows, there are plenty of rich, vibrant options to choose from. Let us help you “paint by numbers” with some of our collection.
1. Cap The mobile part of our eyelid. This is where your middle or main shadow colors are used. |
4. Upper lash line The area above the eyelid where the eyelashes begin. Dark colors can be used in place of the lining. |
2. Squeezing |
5. Outer corner The outer corner of the eye. Dark colors will add dimension and create a deepening effect. |
3. Brow bone The area just below the eyebrow. Light colors will attract light and help overall blending. |
6. Internal angle The inner corner of the eye. |

Additional application tips:
- How to blend the eyeshadow: use a clean, fluffy brush to soften any rough edges or color transitions. Use light pressure so your shadow stays clear and not “muddy”.
- If you are new to eyeshadow applicationconsider applying a medium shade as a base tone to transition between colors more easily, using a lighter shade to highlight the brow bone or inner corner of the eye
