Step 3: Find your perfect shade

Once you have selected your formula, choosing a shadow is the last step on how to choose the right foundation for you.
Here are my top tips:
- Try the foundation on your jaw with natural light.
- Determine your Undertone (cool, hot or neutral) to find the most flattering shade
- Consider seasonal changes as the tone of your skin can slightly shift between summer and winter
Much to get the right shade is test and wrong, and in every blog position I have shared with you on this round up, there will be a series of different shade samples to check out.
Step 4: Application tips for flawless finish
Personally, I like to use a brush to apply and combine my Foundation and my favorite is what I did for my brand, the Reeson No. 1 brush.
My best advice is to have a brush to apply and then another clean brush to remove excessive product. This technique means that it will never look cakey and you will achieve the most flawless and natural effect.
