How To Get Rid Of Belly Bloat

Have you ever experienced that uncomfortable feeling that your belly is bloated? It can make you feel extremely sluggish and even self-conscious. But there are ways to get rid of it and even prevent it from happening.

Abdominal bloating can be caused by a number of factors, including:

1. Stay hydrated

It may seem counterintuitive, but staying hydrated can actually help reduce belly bloat. When you’re dehydrated, your body retains water, leading to bloating. Aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to keep your digestive system running smoothly.

2. Eat carefully

Do you often find yourself eating on the go or when distracted? Take time to sit down, chew your food well and enjoy every bite. This helps prevent bloating, improves digestion and helps you know when you’re really full!

3. Avoid Trigger Foods

Certain foods are notorious for causing belly bloat. Common culprits include beans, lentils, broccoli, cabbage, onions and carbonated drinks. Pay attention to how your body reacts to different foods and try to avoid those that cause bloating.

4. Get moving

Exercise is not only great for your overall health, but it can also help reduce belly bloat. Physical activity stimulates the muscles in your digestive system, helping to move food through your system more efficiently. Aim to MOVE your body for at least 10 – 30 minutes a day!

5. Try probiotics

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that can help improve your gut health. They can help regulate digestion and reduce bloating. These include fermented foods such as kombucha, yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, beets and pickles.

6. Reduce stress

Stress can wreak havoc on your digestive system, leading to bloating and other digestive issues. Find healthy ways to manage stress, such as yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercises, or using Miss Congeniality?)
