I Tried A Sunscreen Powder: Here Is What Happened

Re -application of sunscreen throughout the day can be a hassle. As you may know, the re -application is just as important as the placement of SPF in the first place. But most types feel oats or can confuse makeup. I have been looking for something light and easy to use and a small Birdie must have heard me because before I knew it, my new sunscreen, the Sun Defense Minerals, landed in my office – just in time for me to try it.

As a digital project manager for Eminence organic skin careI was very excited to have given this sunscreen to dust a test. With my dry skin, I was curious – would he feel a type of dust? Will it be perfectly combined or installed in fine lines? And most importantly, would it really make it easier for sunscreen throughout the day?

We have tried it in recent weeks, both on naked skin and on makeup and this happened here.

Because I chose a sunscreen in mineral dust

Physical vs. Chemical sunscreen: What is the difference?

Before diving in my experience, let’s talk about why I was interested in a mineral sunscreen to get started. Traditional chemical sunscreen absorb UV rays and convert them to heat, which is then released from the skin. Many experts believe that mineral sunscreen, on the other hand, sit at the top of the skin and naturally reflect UV rays.

The Sun Defense Minerals type uses zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, two of the most effective natural filters to protect a wide range UV. These ingredients are also reef -friendly, making them a more ecological choice than some chemical filters. I prefer mineral protection, which is one of the reasons I consider that the sun’s defense minerals are so interesting.

My concerns, most of all, were that I would struggle to find a shadow race, that the matte finish can be overly dried in my already dry skin and that the texture would let me down. So, does any of them really prove to be an issue? Let’s get into it.

Results: I found a shadow for my skin tone?

Fortunately, the Sun Defense Minerals come in six versatile shades. I am happy to say that I had nothing to worry about. These six shades are versatile and pure, making it easy to find multiple shades that worked for the tone of my skin. I tried the light, the middle and the tan and found that all three were effortlessly mixed on my skin. I was surprised, with my light tone, that the black shade gave my tone a natural glow, without looking too hot.

Since the dust is clean and buildable, I could easily adjust the coverage to fit my appearance for the day and adjust the amount applied as the seasons changed. I felt like a soft veil and not a heavy layer, enhancing the natural tone of my skin without neutralizing it.

Whether I wanted a thin push of warmth or just a quick SPF contact, the flexibility of this skin care formula made it effortless. The versatile shades worked perfectly, with more than one complementary tones of my skin, depending on the day or appearance.

You can see the different shades below.

Does it give natural or matte finish?

One of the first things I noticed after applying the sun’s fossil defense was the beautiful finish he provided. Immediately it made my skin look smooth, matte and even, without feeling heavy or excessive dust.

Since my skin leans dry, I was curious to see if the formula would emphasize the texture or make my face feel tight as the day continued. Instead, it was effortlessly combined and left a soft, polished look that felt completely without gravity.

Although it helps to control excessive shine, it did not let my skin look dull or feel dry – just naturally balanced.

Here’s what I liked for the finish:

  • It decreased shine, and it still allows my skin to look fresh and natural.
  • It blends unhindered both on the naked skin and the makeup, without looking for the cakey.
  • The powder smoothed out the appearance of my skin, giving my skin a polished, smooth appearance.

How did she feel in my skin

As I put the sun’s fossils, I could say that this was not like other types of dust I had tried. I felt without gravity and silky, almost as if I was not wearing anything at all. Unlike some powders that can sit on the skin and feel heavy, it had a soft wing-fingal texture that is effortlessly mixed.

Since I have dry skin, I initially worried that a sunscreen may feel dry or installed in fine lines, but that was not the case at all. The formula gently sat on my skin without adhered to dry patches or making my skin feel tight. Even after a few hours of wear, my skin felt comfortable and hydrated. This was a huge advantage for me, especially since I often struggle with finding SPF -friendly SPF options that do not feel dry or heavy.

Final verdict for the feeling: This sunscreen is perfect if you are looking for a light-to-air formula that sits comfortably on the skin and works well for wear of the day, even on dry or sensitive skin species.

How to use and how often you need to apply again

Estimation of sunscreen is vital to maintaining protection, but they often forget something that people – especially when wearing makeup. Sunscreen powder makes this process effortless, so it is easy to remain protected all day. All you need is a quick scan over the skin.

General review lines:

The standard recommendation for all sunscreen is to apply again every two hours. If you are out, set a reminder to your phone to touch. Also apply after sweating or swimming. While this formula is water -resistant, it is still important to reappete after intense activity.

Since this type also provides protection from blue light, you can stumble it to improve the visible effects of blue light exposure.

My final verdict

After several weeks of testing, I can say with certainty that this sunscreen has won a permanent spot in my routine. From the texture of the feather to the easy reappearance, so many of the issues I had with traditional sunscreen was resolved.

What I really liked:

  • Sense without gravity: No gravity, no sticky residue – just breathable, comfortable sun protection.
  • Application without mess: There are no leaks, without oily hands, just a quick wiping with the built -in brush.
  • Easy reappearance: Finally, a SPF I can touch without destroying my makeup.
  • Matte finish: Holds my skin looks smooth and even, reducing shine.
  • Portable and travel -friendly: Small enough to fly into a wallet, gym bag or even a trolley pocket.

Will I continue to use it?

Absolutely. While I will still use a liquid sunscreen as my base layer for outdoor activities, this sunscreen has changed the game for daily spf touches. It has become my go-to noon protection, and I like how light, convenient and effortless it is to use.

If you have ever fought with fatty sunscreen, messy reinstated or finding a makeup SPF, I highly recommend trying this. It makes the sun protection feel easy, natural and completely seamless, which is exactly what a great sunscreen should do.
