You became a pioneer in the beauty industry with the Invisible K-Tip technique, even earning the title of “Invisible Tips Queen”. Can you share the inspiration behind creating this method and how it is changing hair care for women?

Honestly, I came across the technique by accident! I was working with a client and didn’t have enough hair for her installation, so I got creative and experimented with new methods. I loved the result and realized that it could fill a gap in the industry for extensions that are both seamless and gentle on the hair and scalp. Thus was born the Invisible K-Tip method! I wanted to create a solution that was not only innovative but inclusive for all women.

You’ve built a seven-figure empire by the age of 30—an incredible achievement! What are some key lessons you’ve learned along the way?
Dee Michelle:
The biggest lessons were about consistency, professionalism and communication. Reputation is everything in this industry and your customers trust you to make them feel amazing. Also, staying adaptable and on top of trends is key. I’ve seen stylists get left behind because they didn’t keep up with what the clients wanted. That’s why I prioritize continuing education—it’s the foundation for long-term success.

Your work empowers the next generation of stylists through master classes. What trends do you see dominating the hair industry in 2025 and how are you helping to shape the future?

Invisible K-Tips are definitely here to stay. Customers are also returning to natural styles such as traditional tailoring and anything that enhances natural beauty. In terms of training, I am developing new programs to teach not only techniques but also the business side of hairdressing, such as attracting high quality clients and setting prices. I believe we all deserve to win in this industry.

Who is your dream client — the one you haven’t worked with yet?
Dee Michelle:
It has to be Beyoncé! Every time I post, someone points her name in the comments, so it happens one day.
