It’s always a good time to add a staple piece to your wardrobe — just ask Katie Holmes. The actress – who has become known for her effortless, sophisticated, put-together street style – teamed up with French brand APC for a collection full of wardrobe essentials that combine timeless Paris and New York styles.
“I have loved [A.P.C.] since I discovered it. Simplicity of design is born from refined consistency in detail and form,” said Holmes, who has shopped the brand since the 90s, in the press release.
To bring the line to life, Holmes looked through APC’s archives, choosing pieces that best reflect her sense of style. “I love vintage and I really enjoyed getting into the memories of APC clothing from the past. Taking inspiration from collections from the early 2000s and trying to make them modern and relevant to the customer of 2024 has been such a happy and rewarding experience.”
This resulted in an edit consisting of classic cotton tees, silk camis, ribbed crewneck sweaters, denim miniskirts, patent leather Mary Janes and a quilted coat. In addition to clothing, the line includes a limited edition pastel quilt (only 100 available).
“I approached this collection with the idea of it being a complete wardrobe,” added Holmes. “One can mix and match the pieces to create many different looks that suit everyone’s individual style. There are day shows and night shows. Professional and playful.”
