My review
These are really nice liquid eyeshadows with great applicators that make them quite versatile. I’m not entirely sure why they’re called Eye-Blusher because I think this texture and form is definitely more suited to an eyeshadow than a blush. That said, I haven’t tried using one as a blush, so I’ll have to try it when I’m out and about and report back.
With the Lancome Idole Tint Liquid Eye-Blusher, I definitely think the innovation is in the applicator which means you can use the colors as an all over shadow, but also just as easily as a more expensive liner.
The shade range is really great. I only have two of these – 01 Sunburst and 03 Hot Lava – but they are both beautiful. They have a soft shine but not a high shine. The staying powder is really good and they are both shimmery as one and finished shades, and if you want to go more dramatic you can use them as a liner.
After you apply it, be sure to work quickly if you want to blend it because it dries pretty quickly. You don’t get much playtime, but this fact pays off when it comes to long-term use. Once dry, it doesn’t really move.
Alternative products
If you’re looking for something with a similar but sheerer finish and added conditioning and antiaging benefits, then I have to recommend something from my own brand, REASON. The Elixir cap* Gives youthful glow and staying power to long clothes, but also offers an immediate lifting effect with peptides, moisturizers, skin tighteners and more. Obviously, I love it!
For me, Lancome Idole Tint Liquid Eye-Blusher is a classic liquid eyeshadow, like the Sisley ones I love, but less metallic in finish. If you want to compare them, read: Sisley Ombre Éclat Liquide Review & Swatches. They are also very similar to the Armani Eye Tints.
