My samples
I have 2 shades to show you, 1st birch and 2n maple:

Before and after the photos

Although I can really wear both of these shades and the 2n projects for the summer, I think my true struggle for the whole year is 1st:

My criticism
As someone who is naturally burdened with radiation, shiny skin, the matte ends rarely does it in my normal rotation. Taking this, when temperatures rise and shine becomes more concern than a characteristic, a well -shaped soft matte can be a welcome change.
A summer -friendly formula
During the summer months, I find foundations that help control unwanted shine really useful. Although my usual preference is leaning towards the brightest finishes, there is no doubt that a soft matte formula as it becomes particularly useful in warm weather.
Laura Mercier is the moisturizing cream that is blurry matte manages to maintain a polished matte look without coming into flat or drying. It takes a very nice balance and the finish is refined, the skin looks smooth and uniform, and there is no apparent chalkiness or tightening.
Texture, application and coverage
The consistency is creamy but lightweight and is effortlessly applied, either with fingers or with a brush. While technically a colored moisturizing cream, I was surprised by how buildable the coverage was. A mattress offers a very natural, disgusting effect, but a second layer easily brings it to a solid medium without sacrificing comfort or slip.
This makes it very adaptable. You can keep it a little for daily wear or create it slightly for a more polished, pulled finish.
Stoning and perfect resource
One of the standout features for me is how obviously it improves the press. It does a beautiful job to soften the appearance of resources, in the evening out, and with a fine blurry texture. The skin looks smoother and more uniform, but still very much like the skin.
It is worth noting that, despite the matte finish, the formula is not installed in fine lines or underlines dryness.
Longevity and heat performance in heat
In the warmest days, this really proves its value. The glow is kept in the vagina, even in moisture, and the coverage remains intact with minimal touches required. It performs particularly well in combinations or skin types prone to oil.
The SPF 30 is a welcome inclusion and makes it ideal for additional protection on sunny days, though I would always recommend applying an autonomous sunscreen first as part of your morning routine.
Who will appreciate it the most?
This colored moisturizing cream is suitable for:
- Combination in fatty skin species
- Those looking for a matte summer base that still feels comfortable and flexible
- Anyone who prefers a sophisticated, natural finish without excessive shine
- Those who are looking for resources with minimal effort
Dry skin types may want to combine it with richer moisturizing cream or moisturized primer to ensure a smooth application.
Final thoughts: Is it worth it?
Laura Mercier is the moisturizing cream Matte SPF 30 is a smart, balanced base option for the summer. It brings a sophisticated matte finish to the skin.
While I will always get to shiny bases when the weather allows, this is the kind of matte formula that feels elevated, never flat or heavy and deserves a point in any hot weather routine.
