Los Angeles, CA – July 3, 2024 – Media Girls LA’s 2nd Annual Media Honors Brunch, held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, was the perfect kickoff to BET Awards week, bringing together the brightest stars and trailblazers in media for a day of celebration, networking and inspiration. Sponsored by Millennials Naturals and the Janet Collection, this highly anticipated event was an unforgettable experience set against the stunning backdrop of a mansion in the Hollywood Hills.
An event as inspiring and heartfelt as the last. Reflecting on last year’s inaugural celebration, we remember the deep sense of community and recognition as we honored trailblazers like Karen Civil, Sidnee Douyon, Derrian “Phreshy” Perry, Luke Lawal and Miracle Watts. Their stories of perseverance and success laid the foundation for what has now become a cherished tradition.
This year, as we kick off BET Week, we’re gathering once again to celebrate a new group of extraordinary individuals who have made a significant impact in their fields. Guests enjoyed specialty drinks from Mezcal Rosaluna and The Roche Collection, captured memorable moments at the Pixi Photobooth and mingled with industry peers. Adding a personal touch to this year’s celebration, media personality Danielle Young will present a heartfelt speech to her close friend and honoree Gia Peppers, highlighting the profound impact Gia had on her and the media community. In a surprise moment, Nina Parker will be honored by her close friend, actress Nichelle Hines, who will share a touching tribute to their inspiring friendship and Nina’s influential career.
The event was a showcase of media excellence, celebrating television personalities, talk show hosts, media moguls and social media pioneers. Attendees left inspired and empowered, with goodie bags provided by Janet Collection, making sure to take a piece of the magic home with them.
