My review of MERIT Beauty Signature Lip Matte
First of all I have to say that I really like the packaging. It’s super sleek and classy, and super understated, like all MERIT products.
The first shade I tried was the neutral shade called Classic, because I’m always looking for a matte nude shade that wears east and doesn’t dry out the lips.
The texture is wonderful. It is smooth and creamy, very easy to apply, offering good opaque color payoff. You can choose a soft smudged shade or create a bolder, more defined look. The formula doesn’t dry out the lips and reapplies very nicely.
As I’ve only properly tested the nude shade, Classic, it’s hard to tell how long these lipsticks wear because I think the staying power is less apparent with the nude shades. The Classic lasted really well though – I think a couple of hours, but I had to reapply after lunch. I also love the brown nude shade, Antibes. I’ll try to share a picture wearing them soon.
I will update once I try one of the red shades. I absolutely love the look of the Power.
