Musely: The Spot Cream Review + Coupon Code

Does Musely work? Musely reviews 2023

In my mature age of 43, I have been dealing with hyperpigmentation, age spots and rosacea for 10+ years. Although my treatments are usually strong vitamin C serums and creams (and staying out of the sun!), I was excited to give Musely’s popular “The Spot Cream”. a vortex. I’ve been seeing exciting Facebook ads with before/after photos for quite some time now and always wondered if the results were as impressive in real life.

Musely offers effective and affordable prescription skin care without dermatologist visits and expensive products. It’s all done easily and affordably through their website with a few button clicks and a few face photo uploads (for your virtual consultation to get your custom prescription from Musely board certified dermatologists). It’s a quick and easy process! The virtual dermatologist consultation fee is $20 and The Spot Cream is $64 (2 month supply) and ships immediately (free shipping).

Is Musely legit?

So during my consultation, I left a note asking for one of the stronger prescriptions and went with the Erase formula (which they felt was the best fit for my skin based on the photos and information I provided).

Delete type:

  • Hydroquinone 12% (eliminates black spots by preventing the formation of excess melanin in the skin)
  • Kojic Acid 6% (has melanin blocking properties)
  • Niacinamide 2% (reduces inflammation, improves skin softness and structure)
  • Hydrocortisone 1% (for the initial 2 month period only) (mild steroid used to treat redness, itching and inflammation of the skin)

Up a notch, they offer a hydroquinone-free formula as well for those who want to avoid this ingredient. It is also recommended that you switch to a hydroquinone-free option (HQ Free+) for a few months before switching back to an HQ cream…if you don’t, your skin may turn blue-grey.

Does Musely really work in dark spots?

I use a pea-sized amount of this cream in the morning and let it fully absorb before applying moisturizer and sunscreen (very important to wear 30 spf or more daily, even in the winter months!). It can take 6-8 weeks for people to see results, but I have to say, I noticed fading within a few weeks – I could hardly believe it! My skin tone definitely looks more even and the freckled brown spots near the corners of my eyes have subsided significantly. My only small complaint about this cream, or these types of prescription strength creams in general, is that you have to stay consistent and use these products long term. it’s commitment!

museums afterwards

Left: before? Correct: after 4 weeks of use (it almost seems to have a dulling effect, but I didn’t touch it)

I added The Cleanser and Day Cream (tinted spf 30) package which costs $30. The cleanser is gentle and effectively removes make-up and makeup, while the day cream applies effortlessly and leaves no residue or cast. This post really isn’t about these products, but I wanted to mention that I got them! 🙂

If you are curious about Musely and want to try their skincare, you can use the coupon code VEGANBEAUTY for 15% off all first-time orders of any “auto-refill” Rx treatments selected at checkout through April 1, 2023.

The products were given for inspection. The opinions are my own.
