My 10 year old beef

By sharing more about why I started eating red meat again, how I feel a friendly reminder that the best diet strategy is what works for you. No shadow or judgment here.

Hi friends! What are you doing? I hope your week is going well! We had dinner with friends, family dinner at Madre’s, Mass, NCL, usual fun things. This is our first full school week + homeschool so that we are officially back to it. Good luck to all my mom’s friends out there as we return to chaos!

For today’s position, I wanted to talk a little about meat. I realized a few weeks ago this summer was my 10 -year -old cattle, since I didn’t eat red meat or a lot of meat for most of my life.

I stopped eating meat when I was eight years old because I read Tiger That Jonathan Taylor Thomas was a vegetarian. Since I will definitely marry him – he just had to meet me – of course, I had to be a vegetarian. (And yes, my parents completely tried to talk to me from it, but I was a stubborn little thing and supported me.)

I didn’t eat meat long until I was in high school and even then, it was a little uncomfortable for me. Eventually I added it back during the college (the consumption of low carbohydrates will force you), met with the pilot, saw a documentary beam and read a very scary book and then found myself again as a Pescatarian, then a vegetarian.

I liked to eat vegetables based on and I still love vegan food. (One coincidence for me is that I went to the Raw Vegan Culinary School. This chocolate is the best vegan tart you will have in your LiiiFe.) I had added the fish back and just before I became pregnant with Liv, I started eating the chicken again. The internet became wild. Also, this was back on the day that a waste position that took me 30 minutes to write would receive 100+ comments. These were the days haha.

When I was pregnant with P, I was longing for a steak, so I came home and asked the pilot if he would grumble one for me.

You should have seen the joy on his face. He went to Whole Foods, grabbed a beautiful steak that ate the grass, made it perfection and ate the whole thing.

When I told my acupuncture about it, he said, “You have to eat flesh and blood to make flesh and blood.” Primal lol.

Since then, I haven’t really looked back, and now I eat meat many times a week. While I don’t think we need crazy protein amounts, I certainly think it’s important. (I still believe that fibers and micronutrients are the most important!)

Eating beef again after being a vegetarian

Anyway, now that I have gone through everywhere in terms of meat consumption, here are some things I have learned along the way:

– Quality makes all the difference in the world. It is important to me that the products we use are responsible and sustainable. This is a huge reason why we get almost all of our meat from Butcher shopAnd I also buy certified options of organic and greens from Whole Foods and the farmer market.

– It’s really a bioinivia. Just like anything else, it depends on your unique body, preferences and needs. Some people feel horrible in high protein diets, while others thrive. Overall, I feel that most women do very well with the nutrients provided by meats. There are also some nutrients that you can get from animal -based products and I feel that they can be extremely nutritious and satisfactory. I honestly feel that I came back to life as soon as I started eating red meat again.

– If you want to hit your protein goals, Meal Prep is the best way to do it. I like to make hard boiled eggs, sliced chicken, chicken meat and seasoned beef. P and I had a ground beef cup with rice and avocado with one side of fruit for lunch almost every day last week.

– As I mentioned above, protein/meat is just a piece of the puzzle. How much color is on your plate? How did you sleep? How is stress? How is your digestion? Disposal; Cycle; Exercise; There are so many things that contribute to a well -rounded routine, but nutrients are definitely an important part of how we feel and work.

So, tell me, friends: Any vegetarians/vegans out there who decided to eat the meat again, or some new vegetarians/vegans? How’s your experience going?

A friendly reminder that this is a non-publishing space. I know that people can be launched for these things, but the reality is that we all do the best we can in this wild journey as healthy as we can. <3

Good day and I’ll see you soon!
