Chanel started a limited edition lipstick on the Allure Rouge line called Rouge Allure Velvet Les Perles ($ 52 each). We checked the colors while I was in Miami and got some shades with those of Set Duo limited version ($ 120) at the store. The set is at the moment when it is sold on the internet and I saw it restore it once. I hope to restore again or that some boutiques may still have it.
THE Rouge Allure Velvet Les Perles The formula is a smooth light matte lipstick. They have an extremely delicate quality of pearls to those who give them a shine, while still looking like matte lips. These are so soft and smooth on the lips. They slip beautifully and you can check the pigment to make it more a burning blurry phenomenon or layer for more opacity.
I find them very comfortable. They have a soft matte look, but they don’t look or feel dry at all. I think they are very underestimated and they look much more beautiful on the lips than you see in the tube.
Every color I tried is 10/10 wearable. I had my eye in multiple shades, though I fell on the Rouge Coco Baume shining that started at about the same time, so I tried to limit my choices with this launch.
All shades are available individually. I bought:
- 447 Naturelle – the most beautiful light beige neutral
- 457 Eclatante – Pretty Coral
Twin with:
- 459 Lumineuse – Soft Mauve
- 458 Sensuelle – Blue Red

Chanel also remoded up their Joues Contraste dust blush recently. Many of you have asked for a criticism. According to the SAS in the store they have been remodeled to change the ingredients and improve the pigment. I still have a lot of chanel powder blushes which I still use and love. Held many of the same colors, so I decided to try a Wickedness which is a soft pink coral with a small piece of shine.
I really like it. The dust is easy to combine with a very good pigment level. I love color – the coral tones are usually my favorite. I can’t really say the difference in the pigment or formula between the new vs original. I would love to compare the original shade with the new one, but I can’t find my original. From the top of my head, this new one looks more pink-cruel to me (I remember this is more peach), but without seeing them side by side I can’t confirm.
I shared a look at the lipsticks in action here If you want to see how they apply to the lips with an application.
Overall they love lipsticks and I really love the formula. The blush is a beautiful classic shadow of corals. I don’t know I would call it a must-have.
You can find them now in Chanel.com and Chanel beauty boutiques.
