If you are someone who needs their makeup to stay in place all day long, you know that finding a good adjustment spray can be really useful. I have given nyx face glue spray a spray. Here’s what you need to know.
My criticism
First impressions: light but effective
One of the first things I noticed about this arrangement spray is how light it feels. Unlike some other adjustment sprays that can let your face feel a little wet or heavy, the NYX face glue feels refreshing lightly. It does not weigh your makeup and does not leave behind the sticky or sticky residue, which is sincerely one of my pets with some long -suffering products.
I really appreciate how the spray doesn’t really change the look or finish of my makeup. It has the Mattifying ingredients in the formula, but it still lets my skin look naturally radiant. He manages to help keep everything in his place without confusing the texture I have created.
Does it work?
I’m not really a professional when it comes to spray and I can get them or leave them, because I tend to wear a lot of natural makeup in long -term forms anyway, but I really enjoy trying this one out.
I am impressed by the difference it makes in my makeup where my glasses sit. What I hate to wear glasses is that every time you remove or adjust them, you run the risk of disturbing your makeup. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the nyx face glue setiing spray kept everything in place. I noticed that when I was wearing this spray, my makeup didn’t fall so much under the pressure of my glasses.
Comparison: NYX vs. Charlotte Tilbury
I wanted to make this comparison because I really love the CT adjustment spray (review here). CT’s adjustment spray is definitely more luxurious – there is no doubt. It has a thinner fog and this luxurious feeling that one would expect a high-end brand. The fog is super soft, almost like a cloud, and while it is a wonderful experience for use, it has a floral fragrance which for some people can be a dealbreaker. Personally I really like the fragrance, but it’s not for everyone.
Charlotte Tilbury Spray also gives a little more than a shiny finish, making it perfect for this fresh, radiant look.
The NYX glue spray does not have the same sophisticated fog or luxurious feel of the Charlotte Tilbury version, but still performs incredibly well. There is no fragrance here, which will be good for any sensitive to an additional aroma. The spray feels effective when it comes to retaining makeup in place and while the fog is not as beautiful as the CT, it is still quite uniform.
The NYX one contains alcohol, but it is shifted with a humid (propylene glycol) which means that I do not find it dry. If you have dry skin, however, alcohol in the type may not be the best for you.
Charlotte Tilbury has more moisturizing ingredients in the type, however, NYX actually has a part of skin care there, which is not really boasting. There is Acer Saccharum extract, which is a good antioxidant that helps to hydrate the skin. This is a great advantage especially at the NYX price point.
Final thoughts
If you are looking for something affordable, effective and lightweight, this is definitely worth a test. It keeps my makeup quite intact without changing the finish or feeling heavy, and I like to prevent my glasses from moving my makeup. Certainly one to keep your arsenal if you are hunting for a hard worker, long -lasting adjustment spray that will not break the bank!
