Really Important Things (not Really) I Think About When Washing

I found a stash of Keurig coffee cups on the desk. They’re squirrels in a cupboard that’s supposed to contain stuff for everyone to use, but I don’t think most people would bother to check. I want to be a team player and tell my office mates about the stock, but I also want to have ALL THAT COFFEE to myself, ha ha ha!

Also, I really can’t get enough of this rainy weather. I keep telling myself that the longer days are just around the corner, but it’s been so gray and dreary here, and I just want to feel the sun on my skin and be outside in the warm, fresh air.

If you’re feeling the rain and want to set a moody vibe though, FYI, I just discovered a really great rainy day song called “Glitter” by Patrick Droney. The perfect kind of bittersweet song for a warm afternoon.

Ouch! At lunch today, I realized that “Trader Joe’s Salad Hacks” should absolutely be a thing. Today, I had their prepackaged ones Pasadena Salad, which is pretty good on its own (chopped romaine, chopped almonds, chicken, and the crunchy white bits you’d find in a Chinese chicken salad). But I’ve found that it’s even better when you add a scoop of crunchy chickpeas (I highly recommend Sea Salt flavor from Biena) and a ball of cannabis hearts. It was SUPER GOOD, and lasted me for hours.

Not at all related to the salad, but I ran out of eyebrow pencil a few days ago and I’m thinking of going back to the Chanel Boy eyebrow pencil I used and loved a while back. I’ve been doing all the old school Anastasia Brow Wiz for the past few months and it’s fine I guess, but you know how it goes. One is itching to replace the same-the-same-the with something different. At least me, ha!

Speaking of Chanel, I thought of their gorgeous red nail polishes because I saw a reel on Instagram where a girl said she’s been wearing short red nails for a whole year. A WHOLE YEAR!

Can you imagine, in this day and age, with all the access to different colors we have, doing short red nails for an entire year?

She made a good point of it, though, and said that it freed her up from spending time making decisions about nail polish, and that she always felt stylish and that red goes with most things. I’m thinking of giving it a try, but I’m definitely not ready to commit to a whole year. Maybe three months? I’ve been slacking off when it comes to manicures and hopefully this will get me back into the groove.

what’s wrong with you I hope life is treating you well.

The friendly beauty of your neighborhood,

Karen
