My Sisley Paris Phyto-Lip Balm Review and Swatches

I was so excited to try these new lip balms from Sisley because I’m literally obsessed with their Sisley Phyto-Rouge Shine lip color (review and swatches here, my favorite is shade 10!) and I think Sisley makes the more beautiful textures.

I expected the texture of Sisley Paris Phyto-Lip Balm to be good, however, I have to say, it ended up exceeding my expectations. They literally feel divine. The blend feels instantly absorbent and smooth, and when I say my lips were dry before I tried this formula, they were DRY!

How quickly this balm works to hydrate and moisturize the lips is impressive. The next day, the surface of the lips was much smoother and everything felt more comfortable.

They also look great on the lips. The texture gives a soft dewy glow that looks healthy and plump without being too shiny. This means that the sheer makes a brilliant base for makeup and they also pair really well with lip liner if you want a more defined look.

I really like Cloud (the sheer shade) over softly lined lips – my current go-to is Lisa Eldridge Sculpt and Shade Lip Pencil (swatches via link).

Number 2, Pink Glow is super pretty because it reacts with the pH of your lips so you get a custom shade that’s really healthy, youthful and dewy. And it’s the perfect shade for mirrorless application.

Number 3, Crush is a really interesting rosewood kind of shade and the most lipstick of the three. I really like this and think it offers something a little different in the tinted lip balm category.

Sisley Paris describes the shade Crush as being for lips that look like they’ve been painted with watercolour. Sisley always has these super-super-romantic descriptions, but I get what they mean. I think this might actually be my favorite.

Also, the packaging is just gorgeous. They look just like my favorite Phyto-Rouge Shine and are refillable too.

If you’re looking for something similar that also comes in a coral shade, check out another of my favorite tinted balms, the Cle de Peau Lip Glorifier.
