Spring Eyeshadow Looks: Don't Be Afraid To Use Color!

Spring is here and it’s time to ditch our winter neutrals and break out a little with this color! This can be scary for people like me who tend to shy away from colorful eyeshadow palettes. What colors do I choose? Where should they go? In general, I tend to go for more neutral solid shades – something that’s a bit easier and harder to blend. So for the month of April, I challenged myself to welcome color into my life.

Spring Eye Shadow Look #1

First I started with Solar flare PurePressed eyeshadow palette. This palette is a great balance of neutrals with a pop of color and the perfect first step to dip my toes into this color challenge. The shades went on so smoothly and complimented my complexion well. i used Sunspot right after, Shine in the outer corner, Cosmic for a soft liner that defines the eye and Orbit for color on the lower lash line.

Then we had Rose Quartz Triple Eyeshadow PurePressed. The shades matched my eye color so well. This trio makes creating a look SO easy and I received so many compliments throughout the day. Rose Quartz ended up being my favorite palette out of the three I tried. I put it together Spellbound Glow Time Blush Stick for a perfectly renewed look.

Spring Eye Shadow Look #3

At first glance, Blue Hour The PurePressed Triple was terrifying. When I saw three shades and one of them was black, I was quite scared! But, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this trio for the first time. I started by spritzing the Deluxe Shader Brush with some moisturizing spray to pick up a little more pigment. Instead of using the middle shade as a base, I went with the lighter grey/blue and lined my lids with the rest of the shades. There were so many possible combinations for a variety of looks, I realized how creative I could be!

Lesson learned: You don’t need a special occasion to wear color! I loved that I got the chance to see how they can work in an everyday look and how simple it can be to apply vibrant shades. Giving myself the gift of color was the perfect confidence boost and now I’m ready for Spring!
