My review
First of all, I have to say that the packaging of these lip shades is absolutely brilliant! I love all the details with the gold accents and they feel super luxurious in the hand. If purse appeal means anything to you, these will definitely tick that box.
I think it’s important to note that these lip colors lean more to the side of a lipstick than a lip shade that I actually really like since there are so many lip shades already! I can’t really think of any other lipstick-type formulas that have SPF protection, so I think they really bring something new.
The texture is really lovely and silky and feels almost buttery on the lips. You can dab on a small amount for sheer color coverage or build it up for a more lipstick look.
Also, the lip swatches above show the color applied directly to the lips from the bullet with no prep, however, I’ll also wear them with lip liner (probably the new Lisa Eldridge ones) to achieve a glossier look.
My favorite shade in the Tatcha The Kissu Lip Tint is Plum Blossom which is a gorgeous soft peach. It’s the sheerest shade from the collection and you can top up every two hours to maintain UVA and UVB protection, hydration and color too. Wonderful!
