The Best Haircut Trends From Paris Fashion Week Street Style

Where do you go for hair inspiration?

Pinterest or Instagram are some of the most obvious places to gather ideas, but any beauty editor knows that the best cuts are seen on the guests who descend on fashion week.

In London recently, we’ve been spotting all sorts of innovative haircut trends – think invisible layers, tight cuts and mid-length cuts that are anything but boring.

This week, it’s Paris time in the spotlight. From blunt bobs to hollow layers, here are the best haircut trends straight from Paris Fashion Week AW24 street style.

The blunt bob

The pixie cut

We’ve seen the “mixie” (a mix between the pixie and a shaggy mullet) and the “bixie,” which occupies a hot spot between the pixie and the bob cut, but the OG pixie cut is back in the limelight. Get inspired by Dara and ask your stylist for sharp, razor-sharp sides. Photo by Daniel Zuchnik/Getty Images

The curly wolf cut in

As shown in Xiayan Guothe wolf cut – a more modern version of the bag and mullet – works great on choppy and curly hair. Photo by Daniel Zuchnik/Getty Images

The lob

If you’re not swayed by the various short bobs that are trendy right now, try the lob — or the long bob. This street styler’s straight bangs and chunky Alice band give the blunt cut a cute feel. Photo by Christian Vierig/Getty Images

The close cropped afro

Tyler Moore, expert stylist at Live True London, recently predicted that close-cropped afro hair would take over. Tyler recommends a length of at least one inch. “This will maintain flexibility and allow for some styling if desired,” he told R29.Photo by Daniel Zuchnik/Getty Images

Long layers

Layers throughout the mid-lengths and ends give long hair some movement and texture. Take a look at this Paris Fashion Week guest and think sharp fringe bangs to complement the cut. Textured levels

A handful of layers is the easiest way to give curly hair more shape and dimension. We love this shoulder length cut on the model Leila Depinaespecially the heavy hits. Photo by Daniel Zuchnik/Getty Images

The kitten was cut

Introducing the kitty cut: a softer iteration of the trendy wolf cut, with long layers and a split fringe. We especially like the bronze “cowgirl” color on the model Justine Soranzo. Photo by Christian Vierig/Getty Images

The micro bob

This short, sharp bob is going to be a huge trend for 2024 according to Neil Moodie, founder from Neil Moodie Studio. “It’s basically the shortest bob before you get into ‘short hair territory,’ resting gently between the jawline and cheekbone and grazing the bottom of the ear,” Moodie told R29. The “butterfly” pod.

The style floats just above the shoulders and boasts a handful of layers throughout the mid-length and ends for a bouncy effect. A blow dryer brush is your best bet when it comes to styling. Hollow mattresses

The inner curved layers, otherwise known as hollow layers, give shape and volume to the hair. They also work on all hair types — especially curly and wavy lengths. Photo by Christian Vierig/Getty Images
