You know when you order online and it arrives and you LOVE EVERYTHING. This blog post here is one of those times. I spent honestly, HOURS on NET-A-PORTER website* Created three outfits that I felt really drawn to that featured a ton of knits that I could see being very handy as the cold starts to set in, and I absolutely love them all. It’s hard to pick a favorite out of the three, but there’s one that takes it up a notch – just. And if you’re just window shopping right now, then I’ve added some outfit formulas to add to your notes for the next time you’re standing in front of your wardrobe and have no idea where to start. Here are some ideas…

WITHIN ONE

What’s more comfortable than knits, knits, knits?! I speak a knit top + knit pants + cashmere jumper + cashmere jacket + Mary-Janes. It just doesn’t get more comfortable than this. Wearing it felt like the perfect outfit for the weekend, a little brunch out or just hanging out with friends. So comfortable, yet so stylish – it’s the addition of the structured jacket and shoes that take it to the next level here. This was my first time trying Guest in Residence – a new brand for NET-A-PORTER – and I currently have both items in my cart, so yes, I’m a fan! The Oversized cashmere jumper* Felt like real butter, too Cashmere jacket with seams* it was something I hadn’t seen before – half cardigan, half cardigan and a layering piece which I think would come in very handy in the winter months. All beautifully made and all 100% cashmere.

OUTFIT TWO

Let’s say you’re having a day where you’re a bit ‘here, there and everywhere’ – that’s what I’d recommend. For me this is a day of meetings in London. It’s a short walk to the train and then before you know it I’m in the tropical climate aka the underground. And I actually do very little walking outside as I’m only between tubes and meeting points all day and usually do enough walking to get from place to place. You see – I’m hot! And lugging around all your extra layers as you peel off isn’t it! So for those days I would recommend – sleeveless knit + medium coat + straight jeans + pointed boots. Your hands are covered but once you reach your destination you can cool down without melting. I really want to discuss it AGOLDE 90’s Pinch Waist Long Jeans*. They are such a good length to wear with boots and they have this KHAITE Danielle Jean* feel, but I personally find AGOLDE much more comfortable. Speaking of comfort – the Toteme medium heel ankle boots*?! I walked 20,000 steps in them in NYC and while I was too tired to take them off at the end of the day, I still didn’t get a blister. They are so good.

UNIFORM THREE

This might just be my favorite outfit of the three, but this really is a do-it-all. Flared jeans with a pointed boot are such a classy silhouette and the roll-neck does the practical thing to keep you toasty. Chunky roll + belt + baggy jeans + pointed boots – is a formula to add to your repertoire immediately. I’ve been looking for a turn-up jean that fits my 5’7″ frame and these are it the. The Dame AGOLDE jeans* they are nice and high in the waist and not too wide in the back. I’d recommend going a size or two smaller than your usual, depending on where you want it to sit on the hips (for a lower fit, go down a size, or for a higher waist, go down two sizes). And we can take a second about it Toteme T-Lock bag*!? It has slipped into every outfit I’ve made for it so easily and it’s big enough to be really practical for everyday wear without being bulky. I am very, very tempted to make a purchase.
