Sharing Disney Cruise’s top 10 tips and tips if it’s your first cruise!
Hello Hi Friends! What are you doing? I hope you have an amazing morning. We are in Part 1 of Harneys we take Europe for the summer and start the Disney cruise party. I will share all the details when we come back, but for today’s position, I wanted to share some of the best cruise tips of all time, especially if you are the first timer.
Top 10 Tips and Tricks of Disney Cruise
This is Disney Cruise #6 for a reason. The whole family is. TBH, I was always a little meh for the idea of cruise. Something about a bunch of college children for the Spring Break and Casino Vibes does not sound like an ideal family vacation, especially when the girls were really young. I’m also a little freaked out to get out of the ocean.
Our friends told us how much they loved Disney, especially because of cleanliness, food and entertainment, so we decided to try it. Needless to say we had been inflated and we have at least one Disney cruise every year since.
Now that we have some experience under our zone, I feel confident that I am sharing some tips that have helped us as beginners or that we have learned along the way. I feel I could write a whole series at this point, but here are my top tips!
Pack a separate pool bag with a change of clothes when you check in.
They take your luggage on arrival and appears magically in your room within a few hours. In the meantime, take your pool bag with you and head to the pool! It is the least full that the whole trip will be, and all casual deck eats are open, too. It’s so fun to see kids make the slide and go out into the pool, enjoying a buffet meal or some tacos + drink of the day.
Order your Coffe the previous night
If you want to have coffee in the morning, order it through the room service at night. He arrives in a carrot and stays warm all night. They also have a small refrigerator where you can store the Creamer. The room service is built -in – you just have to consult. I will usually bring some cash for room service tips.
Dining
Each ship has about three main restaurants and you will rotate every night. You will be entrusted early (usually 5:45) or late dining (8:15) and you will have the same server and assistant every night. If you do not pull in the main restaurants there is one Broadway-The quality show that you can watch during the opposite year (for example, late visitors attend early show and then go to dinner). Or, you can skip the show, skip the main dining room, order the room service or grab a quick bite and head to the pool to watch a movie and swim. One night we omitted the main dining room and the show, and the children led the water to slip like 19 times.
In the dining room, you can order whatever you want from the menu. Do you want a meal that are all appetizers? Do you want to try every dessert? Do you want two lobster tails? Live your best life. They are also incredible with allergies and nutritional requirements. When I told them I was gluten -free (which I avoid for health reasons, not allergy), they had gluten -free rolls waiting for me every night.
Room secrets
With how many cruises we did, I have never seen an official room service menu. I know they have things like Mickey ice cream bar, milk and cookies, Mac and cheese, pizza, chicken offers, etc. I was called and asked for a salmon salad once and the employee laughed lol. But there are a few secrets: they have a cake or pie of the day (ask them which flavor is available) and cheese boards (you can ask for gluten -free crackers).
The app is your friend
The Disney Cruise app is really amazing. You can track all your plans and excursions, friends and family members through the app and see the Daily Navigator, which has the timetable and location for the activities of the day. They have so many things that happen every day on board: movies, character greetings, dance parties, trivia, karaoke, bingo, folding tones etc. You can also close additional things such as wine tasting, whiskey tasting, spa services and food only for adults.
Bring a pop -up obstacle and take some laundry pods with you
(If you are planning to wash)
I always make a washing machine on the last day on board. It is less depressing to take home a suitcase full of clean clothes than dirty clothes. The laundry room is amazing (especially for desire, it is huge) and the application will notify you when it is time to exchange your machine.
Decorate your door
I didn’t know how big this was, but so many families decorate their doors. It’s extremely fun to customize. Etsy has a lot of great magnets And while you don’t have to go over the top (some families do completely, and I like to see it), the kids enjoy it.
Get a popcorn bucket if you like popcorn
We buy a popcorn bucket on the first day (it’s about $ 13) and while on board, you can refill popcorn for about $ 3.00. Kids love to take it in shows with us and Disney popcorn is just a +++++.
Tips / Teaching for a Disney Cruise
The only time you have to consult during the cruise is when you order the room service and at the end of the cruise. On the last whole day, they provide a few folders for your server, the assistant server, the host, etc. The amount they value for each person who helped during your stay varies depends on how many people in your party. The exact amount has changed, but for us, it is usually a couple of hundreds of dollars in total for everyone, which is charged to your account at the end of your trip.
If you want to overturn an extra amount, you can place the small slip that has the total calculated amount of Disney + any cash you would like to add to the small folder and deliver it in person. You can also ask the guest services to add to your tips for you. I think our servers and hosts usually go over and over.
Close a booking symbol for a future cruise 🙂
When you are on board and app you have the opportunity to close a booking symbol to use a future cruise for $ 250. It will save you 10% on an upcoming cruise and $ 250 is considered a deposit to cost, which may be a very sweet deal. You can book two locations per account. If you do not use it, you receive a refund after the two -year period, but I think you will probably use it 😉
If you have any specific Disney cruise questions that I can answer, send them my way!
You have an amazing day and I’ll see you soon!
