One of my favorite things to do is listen to podcasts about nutrition, general health and wellness, and biohacking! I’m 43 (ha, that’s how I started my last blog post… can you tell I’m proud to be getting old?), and of course, I want to live a long healthy life in which I thrive and live to the best of my ability.
I recently discovered some great, “healthy aging” (I love that “antiaging” is a thing of the past!) vegan supplements from Dr. Emil Nutrition that are geared toward cell health, skin and aging issues, heart health, and immunity!
The 3 Healthy Superstars of Dr. Emil
Spermidine, $48.95 – We have to say that the name of this wheat germ derived supplement is interesting… 😉 As we age, the levels of spermidine naturally present in our bodies decrease, so a spermidine supplement can help replenish those levels and cause autophagy (regeneration and renewal of cells). Spermidine also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can also boost respiration and metabolic function.
Resveratrol Plus, $48.95 – I have been taking resveratrol for years so it was nice to increase my supply. Resveratrol is a polyphenol found in red wine that helps prevent cell damage, which can lead to signs of aging and health problems. It also supports a healthy immune system and heart health. Resveratrol Plus by Dr. Emil also includes 100 mg of Quercetin (an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory plant pigment flavonoid found in many plants and foods) to support the immune system.
NMN, $59.95 – Detailed Science Analysis (←compliment) from Dr. Emil: Our body converts NMN to NAD+, a chemical compound found naturally in our body that aids in our cellular health. NMN has been shown to increase energy levels and support a healthy metabolism. Cellular health and energy… Sign. My. Above. NMN may also help regulate glucose metabolism and help reduce inflammation levels in the body.
Well, I just started taking these supplements and they are becoming part of my daily healthy aging regimen (indefinitely)… not that I’ll be able to say, “Wow, look at my cellular repair” haha, but in retrospect, I can to say that these supplements are derived from high-quality, doctor-approved compounds that have been backed by science. I love that it’s naturally vegan and reasonably priced (compared to similar products online).
As I am taking these supplements long term I will be sure to update more posts if I notice any changes in my body or skin. Stay tuned! xx
