How to use it
You’ll need a few clicks to get the product flowing the first time you use it, but after that you’ll need a click or two to dispense the amount of product you need. You can paint directly on the skin and then blend it with fingers.
VB Beauty says for best results you should apply to well-moisturized skin.
To clean the brush, you can use warm water and a mild soap and then let the brush dry before replacing the cap.

My review of Victoria Beckham Beauty The Concealer Pen
This post has taken me ages to put together because, 1. it’s Advent Calendar time, 2. I wanted to make sure I’ve seen all the shades and 3. at the hefty price of £64 for 2.4ml, I wanted to i’m doing right try it before i say a word!
Now, my first concealer super-obsession was the YSL Touche Eclat pen. This worked more as a brightener and highlighter than a traditional concealer, but I used it religiously to conceal and generally tone my skin, nonetheless. I loved it. I really still love it. I really need to use this again soon!
Anyway, I’m thinking of it because the Victoria Beckham Beauty The Concealer Pen uses a very similar packaging format to the Touch Eclat. It’s a clicky pen, like my original favorite and has a very similar brush to the YSL.
There’s a lot of mention of how much work went into the brush for this new concealer, but it doesn’t look too different to YSL to me, so maybe I should get the two products side by side to compare and contrast. Definitely…
Aside from the packaging, I love that this is a skincare formula. and a care formula from none other than Augustinus Bader. I really like these skincare products that VB has created so far, and I’m a big fan of the Cleansing Protocol, which I’ve continued to use since I wrote my review for it. I actually think I’ve come to like this duo more and more the more I use it. You can read my review of the cleansing protocol here.
This concealer features Augustinus Bader TFC8 formula that promises to be a multi-tasking renewal complex to deliver anti-aging benefits. I love a makeup skin care hybrid, so this naturally got me very excited.
Now, it’s important to note that I haven’t tried this for 4 weeks yet, so I can’t really comment on the care claims of this product. However, I will continue to use it and update you when I can. For now, these are my thoughts on this as a concealer.
Well, this is a great concealer. It has a creamy texture and offers flexible coverage. A good amount of product is dispensed with a few clicks and the brush is the perfect size to apply the concealer exactly where you want it.
It is quite easy to blend and gives a lovely smooth finish very quickly. I think it has a setting quality to it, and I haven’t felt the need to powder it. I find that I have to layer it to get the coverage I need, which is about me, because there’s only 2.4ml of product in the tube.
I love that it sets on its own and I’ve found it to be really long lasting even without setting it with powder. It doesn’t settle into lines or wrinkles, and just gives the skin a really smooth look and is really good on the pores too.
Victoria Beckham Beauty The Concealer Pen covers very well. It’s light to medium, but it’s good on my under-eye purple tones, redness and also pigmentation marks, so it’s a great all rounder. I find that if I let it sit on my skin for a while before blending it out, you can get a bit more coverage out of it.
I can use some of the shades. LF2 goes all over the place and I really like LF1 under the eyes when I want something super bright. L1 also works well under the eyes and I can get it to work everywhere. If I had to pick one shade, which I would if I bought it because each tube is £64, I’d go for LF1.
And while we’re on the subject of price, it’s definitely something to discuss. It’s £64 for 2.4ml, which is so expensive. Obviously, the cost reflects that you’re getting the Augustinus Bader TFC8 complex there, but that alone might not be enough to convince you to part with that much cash for 2.4ml of product.
I will continue to use it regularly and see if I can see any of the long term skincare benefits it promises.
What impresses me most about this is how natural it looks on the skin, how smooth it makes the skin look, and how well it lasts. It doesn’t fade at all, and pretty much stays fresh throughout the day. It’s impressive.
