Now that it’s summer, many people will be outside all day. be it weddings, day drinking, hen parties and so on. Although some makeup products claim to be long lasting, makeup may not stay on your face if you don’t follow the right techniques.
Top make-up artist Wayne Goss, who has over 4 million subscribers on YouTube, shares some top tips on how to make your make-up last a day.
1. Use the same texture of skincare and makeup products
““If you’re using an oil-based moisturizer and a water-based foundation, your makeup isn’t going to last because oil and water don’t mix.”
“So make sure everything is the same. If you use a silicone foundation, use a silicone moisturizer, and if you use water-based skin care, apply water-based makeup.”

2. Apply powder to your skin
“Be sure to powder your leather, as this will extend the longevity of the leather.“
“Powder formulas are great for oily skin types as they help control shine throughout the day. They are also ideal for setting cream products in place, ensuring long-lasting wear without creasing.”
3. Avoid excessive skin care
“Don’t use too much skin care as the more you layer, the more likely the makeup will slip and the makeup will easily move around the face, which is exactly what you don’t want.”
4. Oxidation is key
“If you have normal to dry skin, then setting spray can help. But setting sprays don’t work for oily skin because oily skin produces oil and that breaks everything down, including the spray.”

5. Choose long-lasting products
