The Westman Atelier has now launched at Space NK* in the UK, so I thought now would be a good time to share some pictures and swatches for you again. I have before and after pictures of the lovely Vital Skin Foundation stick which I have been enjoying for a long time now.
So I had the pleasure of meeting Gucci Westman for the UK launch in 2019 and she is lovely. I met her in 2014 during New York Fashion Week and have always loved her approach to glowing, glowing skin.
In case you don’t know Gucci, she is a brilliant makeup artist from New York known for her commitment to clean living and a healthy lifestyle. She created Westman Atelier makeup to feed her need for pure luxury beauty.
She says, “Our makeup is absolutely as natural as it can be right now. But 100% natural is not the path I chose because I also believe in creating things that work – and sometimes, a synthetic ingredient is the most responsible choice in terms of performance.”
What skincare ingredients are in Westman Atelier makeup?
Gucci wanted to create makeup that did more than just look good, especially after she developed rosacea and needed to make sure that what she put on her skin did as much good as possible.
All products are anti-inflammatory, anti-redness and lightweight and formulated with:
- Camellia seed oil to protect against pollution
- Raspberry cell extract for anti-aging benefit
- Hyaluronic acid for thickening and hydration
Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation Review
I really liked this foundation. I have shade II and it’s super flattering on my skin. It’s slightly warmer than usual, but Gucci recommended this shade to me and it works really well. Now available at Space NK here*
The texture is great and uses moisturizing ingredients like coconut oil, Berryflux Vita and plant-based Squalane. There is also camellia seed oil to protect against environmental pollutants.
The foundation glides on beautifully from the stick and then blends effortlessly with fingers or a brush. You feel like you’re wearing nothing and it gives the skin the most gorgeous glow and perfect coverage.

I have Baby Cheeks in Petalo shade and it’s a perfect color that works really well on the lips too.
It is blended with Vitis Vita grape extract and Ayurvedic oils to soothe and nourish while boosting natural collagen and hyaluronic acid production.
